What do you want to see against Southend?

Aside from the victory, what will be the criteria for the performance on Saturday which will help you decide on if Larry is the right man?

First and foremost, I want to be entertained. We have enough options in midfield and wide now that we should be able to get the ball and attack the opposition. Get the North stand going and immediately you'll have the stadium on your side.
The ability to mark players. The defence has seemed at 6's and 7's lately - are we zonal marking because the amount of times players have had spare bodies in the box has been poor - Southend won't have many threats but we need to deal with them
Finally I think I'd like Larry to take a bit of a gamble and drop one or two of the old guard. You can't go on a run of 10 games without a win without trying something new and I think he needs to be bold and start afresh with some of the new players HE has brought in.

Obviously to be entertained, but more importantly fight, commitment and endeavour from the the players who should show pride to wear the Tangerine. SG has got to get the formation and tactics right from the outset against a team who are doing their very best to get relegated!
UTMP!

Effort
Some sense of organisation
A formation that makes sense to the players
An attacking intent and not to back off if we do happen to score first
Oh and a win!

Use a known defence if injuries allow with at lest one of the loanee mids & Madine & Gnanduillet up front get a win whatever it takes. I’d only worry about entertainment later.

An end to our current poor form with a convincing win against one of the weaker teams in the league. Hopefully, this will then put some belief back into the squad, which seems to be missing currently.

Finally, a decent set of officials, if that isn't too much to ask for.

Under the circumstances I reckon the most important thing is 3 points . Forget the entertainment for once . A few wins and with confidence returning the entertainment will follow .

See a recognisable formation, one that has square legs in square holes with nobody out of their natural position.

A cohesive defence.

Opposition players being quickly closed down.

A desire to win from all 11 players on the field.

No 70 yard hoof balls to the lone striker being marked by 3 defenders.

The ability to string more than 3 passes together that doesn't include the final one to the opposition.

11 leaders on the pitch working for each other instead of 11 strangers looking like headless chickens.

The pressure will be on the manager and players to get it right this Saturday and I have a funny feeling the pressure will be too much.

I think Fonz should play up front with Madine too. I would have a midfield of Dewsbury-Hall, Ronan, Bola and Feeney and a back 4 of Husband, Howe, Moore & Heneghan and Maxwell in goal. See if we can go with some flair in midfield and the option of going through the middle or getting balls in from out wide.

Don’t you know it is “utter nonsense” to be entertained at a Blackpool Football match......according to some!!

I think Feeny is off the boil lately and has been a waste in the formations (if we have had one)we have employed.

A bit more desire from the off, I don’t want to see heads drop if we go behind, and I don’t want to hear the home fans whinging and getting on the players back at the first misplaced pass or long ball.
lets get right behind the lads on Saturday I’m convinced a good run is just around the corner.

Have to agree with that if everyone gives their all and losers o the better team ok but that doesn't seem to be the case at the moment.

Would like to see us relentlessly batter them, don’t think we’ve fully dominated a game all season. It’s a great game to try and boost confidence but they could be confident after winning at the weekend. Could be make or break for Grayson

Just be nice to be back, not been since the Fleetwood home game (despite having a season ticket). A convincing win would be welcome mind.

Entertaining attacking football. Give the fans something to shout about. For the players to show some passion and fighting earn the right to wear the shirt and of course some goals and 3 cracking points on the league table

Think you just need to add a [ before your first quote and it will do a proper reply.. must have deleted it..

As for what we need to see for me chances and goals 👍

A win
Better balance - left footed players on the left
Positive, attacking football
A formation that makes sense to the players
A clean sheet
A Nutall goal
Lots of noise from the North

3 points will make me happy Saturday even if it's a scrappy win.
Winning breeds confidence and will put us in a good a position for Gillingham the following Tuesday.

I agree with all the above and I want the leave the ground just happy and think that we have a future.

I'd like to see our left side sorted out, both defensively and aggressively. We're supposed to have five left backs. Let's decide which is the best defender and which the best attacker, and put them both on.

Southend away we battered them despite having 10 men. Think they're a different proposition now TBF.
