What does BFC radio silence mean?

I. They haven't decided who to ask
2. They haven't done the interviews
3. They are waiting for someone to consider the job
4. They haven't a clue who to appoint
 
A bit of all of the above. Maybe their number 1 target isn’t available for whatever reason, they’re going back to the drawing board, compiling a new list of candidates to interview

Making it up as he goes along! Never understand why information like that has to come second hand through the local rag when we have a media team and a perfectly good website to keep fans informed.

This is so true.

I believe it is less than 1 week since SG left us. Yet people are in meltdown. Things will play out in time and we have to have trust in the board. After the 6 months or so SS has been in place I have no reason not to trust them.

This is starting to be a bit reminiscent of the CA saga at the start of the reason, only replace CA for Evo.

There is no rush! Let's trust the board and whoever gets the job should get our support. It's a novel idea but may just work.
 
A pal of mine knew Peter Reid who was being interviewed by Gill Bridge for the managers job. She asked if he had brought a CV. Reid more or less just walked out of interview. Think things have improved since then😁

proof if ever was needed that there was something not rightwith Peter Reid. I would have stayed for the interview if only to spend more time with THOSE legs😂
 
Is there really radio silence, if theres nothing concrete to report yet, then theres not much to say, doubt anyone really needs to here things like, Manfords sat on the shitter making a few calls, sounding out a few targets we are looking at, especially if one of the targets is presently employed.

People and this board also went into meltdown when McPhillips decided he didn’t want to continue as manager. Lots of speculation, rumours and concerns that the club is giving us all the mushroom treatment but hey ho thats life l suppose. We will all get to know in due course I’m sure.
 
Might be Simon Sadler is working away and wants to be here for interviews and any announcements as chalrman/ owner?
 
Worth noting the club got some stick in the summer because by appointing Grayson without doing a formal interview process, because this is a way around the "Rooney rule" requirements to interview at least one BAME candidate.

No doubt there will be similar concerns this time.

TB - I don't think they are giving us mushroom treatment - it's been less than a week.

What would you like, a daily, weekly, hourly update? If we got an update along the lines of 'we are looking at options...' then they would get slated for not saying enough.

The way I see it unless they appoint Evo with thommo as assistant manager, IH as director of football, CA as captain on 20k a week, £50 season tickets and a free pie on arrival then people will moan.
 
Maybe they’re doing it properly, due diligence, making sure they’ve got the right man, making sure the contract is right for both parties.

Let’s face it, after Grayson’s appointment went wrong, they’ll want to take care this time.
 
Lets say Evatt has already agrreed to the jod, seems a popular choice with the fans, and where my money would go on, buts its not til the end of the season. Then it would be unproffesional, discreptful to his current club and employers, also a potential deal breaker untill that side of things was sorted and wanting it announced. Thats my thinking.

If that happened, youd need a bigger stadium aswell.
 
Maybe there is some considered process going on or maybe there is just no plan B currently.

The 'back me then sack me' approach to Grayson looks quite odd from the outside.
We had just bought about 10 new players in, then won the first game with all the new signings, narrowly lost the second game which by all accounts we could easily have won (Madine's miss, mistakes for goals).
This suggest one of two things;
- Manager was backed and then sacked before he was really given a fair chance with 'his' team
- Manager is not selecting and signing targets, this is done by someone else

Anyway interesting times.
 
In fairness it is less than a week since Grayson was potted. If we had of beaten Gillingham, I'm pretty sure he would have been given the Bristol Rovers game, which leads me to believe we didn't have someone lined up. I suspect we will be interviewing and sounding out who is available and interested.

Well Bens not had much joy with the couple of candidates he just sounded out, his gonna get on the blower to our next man in a bit, his just outside atm, getting aa bit of fresh air, apparently he is suffering with the after effects of a rather strong curry consumed last night. Our staff toilets are a bit of a no go area for a while, ive just opened all the windows in there. We had a lightbulb blow earlier in ticket office back room, Mauren from accounts brother whos a leccy, is coming round about 4 ish to sort it, on a personal note if its of interest, I just saw. When I looked out of the window a couple of Seagulls copulating, looked very akward. Must buy eggs on the way home too.

Further updates to come as & when they hapeen.

Oh, and Barry, the new kid from club shop has snuck out for a crafty ciggy again, right now, must think we cant see him hiding in bushes
 
Actually I don't think there is the usual hysteria, it seems low key - very unusual for AVFTT

is it really like that ? or just the new board format makes it less noticeable ?
