Judging by some of the weekday fare described on this thread some avtt'ers aint short of a few quid thats for sure

I always think there is a whole lot of bullshit posted about food on here.

"Yeah just preparing a simple red wine jus whilst the wagu venison sous vide's for another couple of hours. Need to get on with the hand crushed panko bread crumb while the wife is out foraging the wild garlic, ceps and if we are truly blessed a truffle or two to grate"

= my Iceland pizza will be ready to come out of the oven in 11 minutes.

Yeah the reality is probably chippy most nights.

Tonight having turkey wraps with mixed salad piri piri sauce and mexican salsa dressing(too cool it a little)(hot stuff me you know)swilled down by a bottle of cheap chilled white wine 1euro 75 cents .

Chippy tea.

Haddock, chips, peas, tartare sauce, barmcake and a pot of tea.
A pot of tea with a chippy tea is great even though it shouldn’t really make a difference
With me a hooch with a samber or a special brew with a madras just works as did smoking class B substances with my ex wife’s cooking, years ago when I used to make sandwiches for work & was doing a lot of jobs on site for Mitchell’s pubs in Lancaster cheese & pickle sandwiches with a pint of mild just seemed to go together

Just had muscles starter and two fillets of sea bass sandwiching prawns and crayfish at the waterfront fish House restaurant in Oban.
Beautiful 😋
