What Lincoln need to do to win on Saturday

1.
Relax and play your own game. Blackpool are one of the form teams in the division and looked pretty nailed on for one of the Play-off spots. They have timed their run very well. But don’t be concerned as to them. Think about playing our own game. Think about how we can compete and defeat any team in this division on our day. Relax and enjoy the opportunity to actually get out and play a game of football after the Covid enforced break.

2. Get set pieces right at both ends of the pitch. We need to capitalise on any dead ball situation that we get. The winner at their place was from a corner. We can score from them if we get them right. We have though also looked vulnerable from the opponent’s dead-ball positions. The equaliser for Oxford at their place is the most recent example, but there have been many of late. We need to make sure we defend their dead balls right.

3. Pace the play. I don’t think any of us know what to expect on Saturday after the positive Covid tests. Many sufferers struggle to maintain previous high levels of fitness irrespective of how well-tuned they were before catching the illness. I think that it is clear from the previous bout of positive tests amongst the players that those who had the virus around January time haven’t got back to their performance levels pre catching it. So players on Saturday will need to monitor themselves throughout. Don’t burn yourself out. Players who haven’t been affected will need to understand that some of their team-mates will need a bit more time, so patience in the play will be needed. I’m sure that a recovered Callum Morton won’t appreciate constant 50-yard run bursts into the corner from an over-hit pass. Pace the play.

The lad they have on loan from Manchester City looks very good, if I was them I would get the ball to him as much as possible. Hopefully that won't be enough!

If 3 is a genuine issue, we blow them off the pitch in the first 15, run 'em ragged, then score a hatful whilst they are pacing themselves.

Well, I can dream 😎

Form is massive though. We couldn't win a one ticket raffle earlier in the season but now we're winning regularly. Lincoln have only won 2 of their last 10. Will take a massive turnaround for them to get anywhere near the Play Offs.

Couldn’t resist £20 on a Pool win at 2/1.
Decent odds for an inform team winning 5 away on the bounce.

Much better chance of winning than the Grand national

Just seen that on SkyBet, unbelievable odds considering they haven't trained together for two weeks and we're in great form.

Certainly worth a punt!
