What Targets has Critchley been set?

What are the expectations of Simon and the Board this season?

If as we are told we have a top 6 budget then one would assume the play offs are a minimum expectation.

Clearly we won’t be told but this will set the mood in the Boardroom.
 
Based on critchley being happy we had no shots on target … one would assume he has a free run and no targets of any note
 
I'd expect the play-offs to e a minimum expectation this season but as he has a 4 year contract, I'd expect the targets are longer term with being a successful Championship team competing in the play-offs to be a realistic target for the end of his contract
 
You’d hope it would have to be top 6 with promotion the following season as the board’s expectations if we don’t get promotion this season. If we finish outside the play off places this season I can’t see him being potted (he should be) but if we look like we are still not performing by December the following season then I think he will be gone.
 
He has a 4 year deal with the stands and the training ground all part of the project. Would Sadler be bothered if we're not in the Championship before that is complete?
 
I think this IS a two or three season plan. we certainly do need the east stand asap. And a head coach to develope a competitive squad. If we dont go up this season we will just have to go with it. we previously spent two sesasons in League one.

I don't think he's that bothered if we're in the Championship or not tbh.
He's probably more concerned that we're a "comunity club" and being seen to be doing things for the town rather than have a successful football club.

I’m not sure you can have any ‘expectations’ as far as results are concerned. You might have expectations about standards and effort, but as far as results are concerned yiu can only really ever have ‘aims’.

‘Expectations’ are what fans tend to have and that’s why many of them spend their lives in a permanent state of disappointment.

The sim this season is to achieve promotion… Based on what I’ve seen so far we look like a side that is capable of finishing in a Play Off spot. I don’t think we’re good enough yet to challenge for an automatic spot.

I’d imagine we’ll strengthen in January… The second half of the season is where the wheat and chaff starts to get separated and we will finish strongly.
