7 for me. Playing well and some good passing shown at times. Fairly solid and but for the wondergoal we may have pushed on more.

Still need to now turn some of that nice passing into shots and chances created.

5/10 is a bit harsh. I gave them 7.

We scored two goals and could have had two more - watch the sky highlights. We bossed the midfield. Our defence was solid - their goal was a wundergoal.

It can only get better. I'm hoping to upgrade them to 8 on Tuesday night.

5/10 Could have been worse but could have been a lot players. Still no cover down the left, still don't have options in the box when we have the ball in decent positions and still can't work out the sodding formation!

6 for me.
We looked great attacking down the left with Bola and Ronan, however the right wasn't great despite the 1st goal coming from that side.
Thought Turton was woeful today. Too many errors and nearly cost us a goal in the 1st half.
All of the new on loan kids were fantastic.
Some of their interplay was a joy to watch. 1st game I've enjoyed watching for a long time.

7 from me also. Thought it was a much better performance and hopeful of even better performances from tonight onwards

With blossom, 4 for me.

Our first goal came out of the blue really, 38 minutes or so in and was our second shot on target? In fact Southend had better chances before our goal.

Agree our defence looked good. I like maxwell as well. Up front we are still, and will be for the rest of the season, very predictable.

Talking of predictable, we have just got a scrappy win over by far the worst team in the league and I see threads on play offs etc. We are either world beaters or relegation material according to some. Sometimes there is something in the middle, and that is us.

Saying all that the conditions must have been tricky to play in. I'd imagine Tuesday will be more of a gauge.

Six new players started who didn't our last league game and we looked good at times and when you normally introduce that many players it takes a bit of time.

I'll give it a 6.

A lot better than we've been experiencing, and taking into account that Southend are a bad team, but starting to win one or two, along with the pressure that our players were under to win, I expected it to be a scrappy affair Hopefully, the cork is back in the bottle with the genie inside and we will move on from this win with a run of decent results. the only way is up .

7 from me, promising home debuts from all. Bola and Turton were poor, the former needing to play further forward or have more help in front of him. Our poorest player was Spearing again. My MOM was Moore; quick, confident and seemed to settle Heneghan who had a better game. No need to go overboard as it was against a young and poor Southend. Hopefully it will restore a little confidence as the Gillingham game is a better bar to measure our progress against.
