What's everyone drinking and having for tea?

Another for a chippy tea. Glad to enjoy another Saturday evening after an albeit nervy win.
We've a long way to go, but would rather have results over performances any day of the week.

Me too ! Am on a Ringos phase at the moment though, big bag once a week with a bar of Bournville dark chocolate and orange flavour. If I’ve been a good girl !
I know how to live.
At least there's a bit of fruit in there!

Arrived home at 18.45 to find my wife had made a lovely dinner of home made Thai Prawn Curry with sticky rice, followed with home made Apple Tart with clotted cream. I had to have a bottle or two of Shepherd Neame 1698 to wash it down.

There are some excellent Portuguese reds in all the supermarkets these days. Don't have to go to Booths anymore.
If you like Portuguese wines and/or spirits, you can do worse than order them from Portugal Vineyards, so long as you only order enough for home consumption you should be able to have then delivered at prices far less than you will pay here.

I buy my Brandy from them, three bottles at a time, and it's as good if not better than some from France.

Thanks for that.

Chinese style pork steak tonight with mash and carrots and fresh orange with ice.

Just had it. A couple of pork chops from Steve Hope's butchers in Layton, following on from a full fry up this morning of bacon and sausages from the same place.

Merrycat for Fridays chippy tea and then a visit to Go Greek on Rue de la Westcliffe on Saturday evening.

Much better than a poncey visit to Marco Pierre's steakhouse in that there London, or indeed taking in croissants and cappuccinos with the Bonham Carters in Kensington wearing sandals and carrying a man bag.

My mates an ex butcher (formerly Brian the better butchers on Andsell Rd) & has since worked at Steve Hope's) but now Laytons most prominent window cleaner. He's sung Go Greeks praises & knows his meat. Has it recently been under a refit plumbs. I've been tempted to frequent.

Layton and Bispham are very good for a reasonable night out for both a beer and food-cant remember the last time I went out in town, as its much less stressful taking over options.
I see there's a new bar too in Cleveleys and of course Highfield Road has plenty on offer too.

Sorry to go off tangent a bit but town is an overpriced load of old nonsense for me.

I go to BFC games with ex IT work colleagues who are mainly Highfield Rd based so done that several times 🍻👍. Also as you say Plumbs Red Bank Road has improved, Cask (as in Layton) plus we've eaten at Mia Casa Su Casa in the past which if your imagination can replace viewing Sainsbury with the Med is a nice Spanish eatery.

Bump.
Chicken and tomato tagliatelle and a little celebratory bar of orange and almond dark chocolate.
UTMP ⚽
