Trump has become a cult with many politically active Republicans. A bit like Reagan in the late 70s and 80s, but perhaps ten times more malign. Enough cultists to ensure he could get the nomination again. I don’t think he would win the Presidency against a strong Democrat candidate, as the majority of the country sussed him out and there are enough energised people in marginal counties and swing states who hate him. But he could promote his vile intolerant family members into positions of dominance in the RP for decades to come.

National security advisor Michael Flynn, Chris Krebs, Mark Esper, all held high powered positions in the Trump administration until he sacked them so they decided to spill the beans.
No different than Dominic Cummings, even Prince Harry first opportunity they are dismissed (or outed from the Royal family in Harry’s case) they all squeal to the press.

She hasn’t suddenly started denouncing Trump because she was sacked. She was doing so before hand.

She was sacked because she wouldn’t regurgitate the Trump lies about a stolen election. Unlike so many leading figures in the Republican Party.
