It's up to You GovAny ideas or suggestions?
The Dive Centre at Capenwray up north from Lancaster offers outdoor swimming, wet suit required for most of the year though some brave souls wear just cossies! but a great swim with interesting observations below as you go round the old rock quarry - the cafe offers some great food and drinks for post swim treats too - highly recommendedI’ve absolutely no idea with answer to the question but I am intrigued, where is the nearest outdoor swimming pool to Blackpool (not including the Irish Sea ) as I’m not aware of any.
Licensed cafe as well, spent many an afternoon sometimes an evening watching the diving with a nice cold beer on the deck. The Dive Centre at Capenwray up north from Lancaster offers outdoor swimming, wet suit required for most of the year though some brave souls wear just cossies! but a great swim with interesting observations below as you go round the old rock quarry - the cafe offers some great food and drinks for post swim treats too - highly recommended

Yes. I've done several of their midweek triathlons and agree that the water quality is good...just getting in and out over the sharp stones in bare feet that isn't as much funThe Dive Centre at Capenwray up north from Lancaster offers outdoor swimming, wet suit required for most of the year though some brave souls wear just cossies! but a great swim with interesting observations below as you go round the old rock quarry - the cafe offers some great food and drinks for post swim treats too - highly recommended
I did the Bonfire Night Swim there a couple of years ago, packed, enjoyed it but made me realise what a bloody good job the RNLI do in finding ANYONE in the sea at times!Yes. Hopefully, they'll be back on again this year - as usually run from June to September.
