Probably one of the Top of the Pops ones and I think it was from the Co-Op on Fleetwood Road Anchorsholme.

Think it was hills. Embarrassingly bought Ernie fastest milkman and new seekers teach the world to sing

The record department at Hills was downstairs and they had a big display of posters there too, I remember they had the Roger Dean covers as well as some other crackers like the Eat Shit, 30 billion flies can't be wrong, was a photo of a big fat bloke tucking into a big plate of poo!! Funny what you remember!

Again can't say for certain as it was that long ago but it was probably Best of the Beach Boys Vol 1. Probably 1967 and I think from the music store that was part of the BHS building opposite the Crown on Corporation St. Can't recall it's name.

Very good.
That’s how I like to think of you, most of the time. 😁😍

Not sure it was my first, but I can remember everything about it, the shop..... everything..

Breakfast in America. Supertramp, Cobweb, Victoria Rd Cleveleys

Still my favourite album of all time

This one was more my time, these and the Top of the Pops albums were the sort of album you bought but were too ashamed to tell anyone as they weren't the original artists!

Human League - Dare. Somewhere near to Bridgend, Glamorgan. All a bit fuzzy, but a great album.

‘Help,’ Beatles, think it was Boots in town, the old one on the corner facing the back of BHS you could listen to a record in one of their booths with headphones on before you purchased! Me and my chums spent many a Saturday morning in there listening to music, before some nosh then legging to Bloomfield Road for the game.

12 Smash Hits. A covers LP of 1971 chart toppers, complete with a young, bikini clad girl wearing a Bill&Ben hat.
It cost 70p (also priced up at 14s) in a shop on Lytham Rd, opposite the Farmers.

I was thinking I'd bought my first album there too. In my case, a Top of the Pops album, although I'd also bought my first single there a few months earlier which was Tracks of my tears by Smokey Robinson

Elvis Golden Records Vol 3, Butlins in Minehead. Had a couple of Elvis albums for the Christmas prior to that holiday though
.

First one was dare by human league from woollies in Cleveleys

Second one was Prince charming from cobweb records on Victoria Rd in Cleveleys

Think it was one of the TOTP's compilations around 1972/3, I probably have it somewhere still. I do remember it had Hot Love by Trex on it & when I listened to it I was shocked at what I heard, can I have my money back mmmm probably not as it was bought at Woolworths on Waterloo Rd I suspect. Well I didn't know it was session musicians 🙄

Do you mean Graffiti ?

Elton John was a session musician on those before Your Song took off.

Jeff wayne’s war of the worlds, stand in music teacher played it to the class, only had time to hear about half an hour’s worth. Had to buy the album, took me weeks to save up for it. Purchased from the shop at the back of the winter gardens corner of coronation street and adalaide st, the name escapes me . 1978 ish

Remember owning a T Rex & Gary Glitter ☹️ album mid 70s but the first major purchase was Never mind the Bollocks from sinfonia

In The City - The Jam. Bought it off my mates older brother. I’d just turned 11 and I think he got a buzz knowing he’d just created a monster!!
