Where do we think Gnando will end up?

All quiet from the big man, is he eyeing up a move in this country or abroad .. or for a second time will he turn us down and turn up with his begging bowl!

On the scrap heap

Don't understand the love in with him

Had a good season but never really pulled up trees anywhere else indeed only once before has he ever got into double figures for goals (source Wikipedia)

Sat on the bench at QPR, good luck to him just not confident he will be a regular starter in the championship.

A bit surprised that he hasn't already signed for someone, especially when he decided he was going in January

How about the 14 he scored in South Africa before rejoining us?
In his second spell 73 games 25 goals that's more than 1 in 3 in a crap side he's a decent forward for a third division football not sure he can cut it in the Championship but good luck to him we will miss him.
14 in South Africa? Have you been drinking? He didn’t play a single game in South Africa.

I’m not enamoured of Yates, neither Nuttall or Hardie have been here a full season although both have by disappointing. And Fonz is, well, Fonz.
I'm hoping Hardie and Nuttall will improve and develop under NC. No idea about Yates. I genuinely believe we will miss big Gnands.

The problem isn’t his ability, it’s his presence. When he’s on the pitch the other players just want to hoof it and shift responsibility to him.

For that reason, he can’t be in a possession based Hugh pressing team. He’ll end up at Charlton or Sheff Wed etc

We will miss him yes, I would have liked to have him on the bench as an impact sub. The point I’m making is he is very limited in his ability and certainly not good enough to be our main man. Very limited in what he can do and if I thought he was going to be a regular starter I would be very disappointed in our ‘new’ style of play.

The most valuable player in any team is a goalscorer.Hence their value in the transfer market is greater than any other positions.Gnanduillet scored 18 goals for us in a pretty negative set up last season. If he can continue to score at a similar rate he will surely remain up front while still doing a valuable job defending corners as he did for us.

I'm not actually sure what our new style of play will be. Yes, I'd have liked Gnando to have at least been on the bench. He's gone now so we move on.

Most clubs in L1 / 2 in particular are watching how the next few months develop in terms of their own survival due to the pandemic, and most championship teams will have their own set of difficulties come the next season. I can see a plethora of players being available across all EFL Clubs and for those that can offer players a future (free, loan or money transfers) then they will have a decent bunch to pick from. Gnanders will be picked up but we are in difficult times and he’s a decent goal scorer (last season anyway) but he influences the way a team can play, not sure that’s a good thing.

Playing centre back isn't just heading it 😄

He'll get a Championship club once they've finished the season.

Blame the boycott and turning off from all things BFC and trusting Wiki not booze. 😁

Put the point still stands he left us to go to South Africa re-signed so was in his second spell and 1 in 3 in a crap side you've forgotten to mention. 👍

Cardiff was the rumour I heard although if they get promoted it is hard to see him cutting it in the Prem. Given his goal ratio and free transfer status I'm sure someone will take a gamble on him the Championship, maybe Hull or Charlton?

Charlton, Cardiff seem to be the main rumours. Hull would be plausible (manager knows the division, don’t pay fees). Interesting thing will be where he is in three years. Good luck to him

Don’t worry, I don’t drink but at times wish I did. Your point about being in a crap side is valid, however, I am hoping next season we won’t have a crap side and in a good one he would be lost. 1 in 3 isn’t a bad rate but everything was geared to him, in a good side with better players when he has to do more than just wait for Feeney to cross to him. Sorry not good enough.

I will be really interested to see where he goes and how he does. I used to think I knew a bit about football, but he has caused me to question myself. To me I always thought he was an awful, awkward player who had an abysmal first touch, and no vision, and was very lazy. However, he proved me wrong this year with a very impressive goal return. I still think he is not L1 quality, never mind higher, and I still think that Hardie, Nuttall, and other look better than him, but am prepared to be proven wrong again.

As I say though I will be an interested observer

O4.
I've always been a Gnanduillet fan. He does frustrate me, I am aware of his shortcomings but for a League 1 centre forward he'll do for me. 👍
Like you I'll be interested to see if he progresses.

The irony is that for those who don't like him he's going to end up in a higher division which is easily in the top ten leagues in the world.
