Where does this leave Jordan?

Dujon Strerling started slowly and missed a couple of tackles but grew into the game.
So who gets the shirt next Saturday?

I think he uses the ball better than Gabriel so I'd go same again for now. TBH I think they are both quality players and over time it would be worth finding a way to get them both in the starting eleven if possible. Maybe try moving Bowler across?

Think the question is more where does that leave Connelly?

He’s third choice RB and no where near the CB position either

I hope you are right. So far I don't think there has been enough rotation. The Hudders game was crying out for it after the demands of the Fulham game. Contributed to the result perhaps?
Yes I think he 110% effort against Fulham was a match too far for them 3 days later.
Always difficult though to drop players after a great performance.

Me and insider were asking that question a few weeks back and the answer was no idea. It’s still no idea now!
That’s going to be the challenge for Critch- keeping players motivated that won’t make the first team without injuries.
James is another one. He’s 3rd choice left back and 5th choice CM

It’s however much better than under the Os where we had possibly 2 players per position if you include Richard Kingson as a centre midfielder

The way we pick up injuries im sure every player will get a chance to play their part

It gives us competitive for places. Which can only encourage improvement.

In principle yes, but it does give us a problem.

We have a substantial cash investment in Gabriel, but at the same time we want to keep Chelsea happy so that they and other clubs know that we're a good place to send their young players, thus we really need both players to be playing when available.

Will Critch go to 3 at the back? Will he move Sterling into the middle or play one of them as a right sided midfielder? Who knows?

He's mainly played as a defensive midfielder at his previous clubs, it was only at Fleetwood where he played at CB full time, so perhaps a return to the midfield.

I think he's a bit small for a CB at this level, although might be a good option in a back 3, I guess we'll have to wait and see.
