Where is Armand these days?

Just looked and this season he's started once for Hearts and come off the bench 5 times, scored 1 goal and averaged 32 minutes per game.

I suspect we may have scored a few headed goals from corners had he still been here. Strange player though.

I didn’t think he was awful, although I was delighted when he left. I just think he was a big fish, literally and metaphorically, in a very small pond. He would be totally lost in this league, that is why he has never played at this level.

Armand was not awful. Whoever said that hasn't watched Blackpool long.
He was terrible - been watching Blackpool since 1994.

He was in a team geared up to suit his style of play - whatever that might have been.

It's no surprise he's warming the bench in a pub league.

He’d be a bench warmer here too.
Did a decent job for us in a one dimensional team, but I’m not sure I’d have him over Bange if that was the only option now.

I don't generally look back at former players wrt today's team, as they (and especially we) have moved on.
He did a good job for us when we needed someone like him in the lower 2 leagues.
In particular I recall his defensive headers. He always seemed to win important headers when back helping the defence. But IIRC didn't he choose to leave the club? Thanks Armand and good luck.

I think most people would choose to leave a place where they got so little appreciation for scoring goals, or doing their job right, on a regular weekly basis.

I love how he only scored regularly because the whole side was set up for him. How lucky was that, having a team that is set up to provide chances for its main striker?! In any case, he actually created quite a few of his goals himself.

Numbskull central, this place, sometimes.

I liked him and think he’d be doing a good job for us. He benefitted from Feeney and his crossing ability, something we are currently lacking.

One of the best footballers with his head I've ever seen, get the ball in the box and he'd do wonders with it. There was a goal that season where he seemed to defy all laws of nature, he headed the ball down and it bounced back on itself to end up in the net when it looked certain to go out of play - luck or genius I'm not sure.

I do feel his stats were bolstered by the fact Grayson had one plan and it was Feeney to Gnands and for a decent amount of time it worked, but teams sussed us and the goals and wins stopped for 2 months resulting in Grayson's departure.

The fact he couldn't break into a 2nd division Scottish side's squad last season probably speaks volumes. Liked him but we are so far better off with Yates, Lavery and Madine it is unbelievable.

The lack of appreciation didn’t bother him when he came back from South Africa with his tail between his legs.

7 in 45 in his first spell isn’t 1 in 3. Don’t just quote tha stats that fit your narrative.
Good striker for Blackpool. Pretty clear to see to be fair. Must not have watched many games.

Pace power. Scored a variety of goals. Could take pens. Gary Madine is barely 1 in 6 for us. Any vital goals in there? Not that I can remember.
Probably not a Championship standard striker but let's not re-write the narrative that he was "awful" because that's absolute bobbins.

He had pace in the same way a train has pace. When he gets up to speed, but like a train it takes him a good distance to get there.

He scored goals for us, but could quite easily have scored another 1/3 on top again if he was any good, took him 4 chances to score one.

I can’t believe people genuinely believe he was a good player. A striker of any decent ability scores for fun in Scotland, and he hasn’t.
