A drink that is akin to Ouzo but far more flavoursome is Tsipouro. Available either pure or aniseed based, it is 40-45 % alcohol by volume.
Very cheap to buy and a good way to get inebriated very quickly.

I buy Mythos from Lidl but it's not the same as drinking it in a Greek taverna.

ouzo as long as its in a shrimp saganaki - real Greeks drink souma which amazingly tastes just as sh!te in the UK as it does in Rhodes !!!
