Which non-Blackpool FC goal did you celebrate the most?

Domestically that is. Whether it sent the Nobbers down, helped us out in some way or completely unrelated to Blackpool FC - I'm sure there should be some interesting tales.

For a bit of fun lets throw internationally as well in. Bit of a cop out this one but I'd say Eric Dier's penalty in the 2018 WC, I was in the Boars Head and the place went absolutely insane.

For England’s first game of the same competition against Tunisia I was on holiday in Majorca. The bar in the hotel was a mix of mostly English, German & Spanish. All sat around watching the game drinking, having a laugh & chatting.

All except one Scottish bloke in his 60s who was wearing a specially purchased Tunisia shirt. Spent all game giving it loads and effing & jeffing with children around so not exactly making himself popular as you can imagine.

Safe to say he got plenty off us English after the last minute winner!! The funniest bit actually came from a German bloke who said to him ‘maybe you beat Iran tomorrow yah?!’. I would have bought him a drink but it was all-inclusive.

Ha! Love it.

The Scots take their hatred of England quite far don't they, buying a Tunisia shirt is dedication. On twitter they all put the flag of whoever England is playing in their name, I suppose they have to make major tournaments interesting somehow considering they ain't there!

Archie Gemmill's goal against Holland in the '78 World Cup. It gave me a brief hope that they might get through to the next round.
PS. I always support the British Isles teams in the World/European cups. And for any smart Alecs - no, that doesn't include the Faroe Islands.

When Aguero scored and won City their first Prem title and United fans stopped celebrating thinking they’d won it

wouldn’t have been as happy for them if i knew how much they would win in a short space of time afterwards

Lineker against Cameroon...fantastic atmosphere and put us in the semi final
Owen v Argentina...brilliant goal and we were surrounded by Boca Juniors fans at the time
David Platt's 120th minute winner in the previous round. England 1 Belgium 0 (edited thanks TTP)
I can't recall being more excited by an England goal
Sadly the Germans beat us on pens after a fluky deflection beat Shilton

Also any goal in the Stevie Gerrard show in the 2005 EC final.

Buying a Tunisia shirt is one thing, actually taking it on holiday is another!!

Remember Rooney scoring a belter for England at some point when he was still playing for Everton. I'd just finished a row with some Liverpool mates about him being fat, shit and over rated and he stuck a stunner in. I was hammered as well which made my celebrations less than dignified.

Also as a kid, remember being buzzing when Wimbledon won the cup, just cos it wasn't Liverpool winning it for once.

Particularly enjoyed Marcos Llorente's at Anfield for Atletico in the CL last season. Was at a pub student night half-full of plastic scousers with their squeaky clean new Liverpool shirts. Come full time the other, decidedly non-Liverpool, half were almost on the tables basking in glorious schadenfreude...

To think, that was the last time I watched a game in the pub before all this Covid stuff kicked off...

I have been fortunate enough to have been at most the England games above, but the one that truly stands out for me is this...

The ball comes to Gerard just before half time in Munich, he chests it down and hits a curler into the bottom corner.

England went in at 1 - 2 and we all know what happened next.

That was the day when we knew we will NEVER be scared of Germany again 😎

I always remember being in Munich airport the following day and getting the info desk to call out "could Mr Juan Five please come to the info desk" - half the airport fell apart laughing 🤪

1966 World Cup Final when Geoff Hurst scored and those immortal words from Kenneth Wolstenholme they think its all over it is now.

One of the finest non BFC goals for ne would be the John Barnes goal against Brazil early eighties when he appeared to walk past half of the Brazilian team before scoring which resulted in a win for England.
Along with a Mark Hateley goal. Practically a Brazilian...

Aguero vs QPR. Got caught up in the moment and celebrated like mad 😂
I remember I was in Subway with my then girlfriend, received a text off my Dad saying "City have just nicked the league title with 2 injury time goals" (or words to that effect), missed one of most iconic footballing moments ever for a footlong sandwich

Probably the last minute winner from the Woolwich Arsenal* forward as he bundled the South Shore FC 'keeper over the line in 1886, which meant they didn't make the semi finals of the FA Cup that year. I didnt see it-that would be silly to claim that- but I read about it in the BASIL almanac from the time.

*sorry @Hertsseasider that I had to mention them although at least they were playing in their own backyard.

Same.

Thatched House, full of United fans celebrating. United fans at Sunderland chanting, thinking they had won it then

Agueeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrroooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Absolutely priceless looking around the Thatched after I'd calmed down!

Some cracking ones in there - bring back some great memories. Platt vs Belgium, Beckham vs Greece (and the realisation that we were actually going to Japan), Man Utd vs Bayern... And one more that springs to mind, considering I was surrounded constantly by Liverpool fans... 1989 - Michael Thomas scoring in the last minute vs Liverpool to steal the league from them on goals scored. Brilliant.

For Liverpool lovers.

Alonso with the equaliser after looking dead and buried at halftime.
They were 3-0 down against AC Milan in Champions league final.

The 4th goal against Barcelona after losing 3-0 in away leg.
Gerards winner against West Ham in FA Cup final.
