Maybe out of relegation.....surely he can keep us in this league
Yeah think we need the stability too. Clearly why he get a deal until 2028.I think Evatt will be with us some time. Let’s not forget he turned down championship jobs when he was with Bolton. Sadler and co really need to back him.
Let's be realistic, manager contracts in football are worthless.Yeah think we need the stability too. Clearly why he get a deal until 2028.
Can’t afford to keep making bad appointments and paying them off
If that is the minimum requirement then yes I think he can do that.surely he can keep us in this league
Woah! Be careful, that's far too sensible thinking and logical for A.V.F.T.T.!At the risk of being a killjoy, I think some are getting carried away and are too quick to dismiss our current predicament.
I believe Evatt will improve us, and we have what it takes to stay up. But I don't think we'll get an instant turnaround. We haven't controlled a single game this season, and most of our best players are injured until after Christmas. I personally think it'll be early new year before we can put any kind of run together. Evatt is going to need significant patience from the fans.
In the short term, I think we should be looking for improvements in fitness and work rate even if results don't come immediately.
Very optimistic SteveMore than confident, I feel it’s guaranteed, I still think playoffs are doable , but we need to start winning asap.
The key to me is not to think of the play offs, but think of the next 3 games. Then the next 3 and the next 3 and take it from there once you see where they take you.Very optimistic Steve
I'm with previous poster in that he's going to need time and we have to wait for players to come back from injuries
I do think we will improve and can forget any doubts re relegation but play off talk ....giddy kippers springs to mind.
Hope you're right
We'll just have to wait and see how the next 9 games unfold, then. Assuming my somewhat archaic arithmatic is upto scratch, that is...The key to me is not to think of the play offs, but think of the next 3 games. Then the next 3 and the next 3 and take it from there once you see where they take you.
How quickly we can get players back and the next 5 games are crucial - all bar Cardiff (and who knows with this league!) are winnable but more importantly 6 pointers (although as Steve McMahon used to say 'show me a game where you can win 6 points!)More than confident, I feel it’s guaranteed, I still think playoffs are doable , but we need to start winning asap.
Best way to motivate them is to play the recording of Bruce saying the transfers cost him the job, not his shit tactics. One big advantage Evo has over the likes of Bruce is that he knows this league well. The players are obviously not his choice but let’s hope he can win them over and get the best out of them cos I don’t think any of them lack ability, just motivation.
He is throwing down the gauntlet early doors for some of the team to be future legends, and not making it all about himI'm more or less of an age where I've seen it all. Any appointment now appears to be a lottery so I'll back whoever is currently running things and hope we have some success until the inevitable scenario of events going wrong again on the pitch and fans turning on him.
Definitely the right way to look at it. Reminds me of when Critch used to claim he didn’t look or know where we were in the table when we were creeping into the playoffsThe key to me is not to think of the play offs, but think of the next 3 games. Then the next 3 and the next 3 and take it from there once you see where they take you.
