Who has a guaranteed first team place?

So, not based on who Larry has been playing but on what you've seen and read, who would be the guaranteed first team players for next week?

I would say Ronan, Madine, Dewsbury-Hall, Heneghan and maybe Bola?

Virtue, MacDonald, Madine, Dewsbury-hall

I do like those players.

Let's just name the team... for me its something like

Maxwell
Howe Heneghan Thorniley Husband
Feeney Dewsbury Virtue McDonald
Madine Fonz

Something like that. I'm not exactly happy with the defence as Thorniley has been rusty and Heneghan slow made a fair few mistakes so maybe that could change.

Spearing needs a break and we need to see how we do without him.

Maybe even go 343 against Southend and add an extra attacker.

Could then bring on Gnanduillet, Ronan and Bola or others if not working. Ward also maybe from the bench if hes a bit more upto speed after such a long time out.

Is Husband fit to play? Agree with your line up except I'd maybe bench Heneghan.. as you say he is a bit slow and makes mistakes... Bring him on if not working!

Bola? I wouldn’t have him in the starting 11 never mind guaranteed.
Ok he has been exposed by Grayson tactics but he has really been pony since he has come back

I literally only did that for an excuse to use the table function.

I did note the other day that virtue used to be a deep lying midfielder when he started in Liverpool ressies.

No keeper 😏 may as well have another attacker and really go for it. Infact let's put Nuttall in net as he seems good with his hands.

I cocked up making the table and I couldn't be bothered to redo it.

Maybe that explains some of Larry's recent selections.

There's only one on the left Larry?
FFS I'm not writing another flip chart sheet Dunney....

I though Heneghan was the saviour this season or are we wearing him down and making him a bad player as well? With Edwards injured and Thorniley hardly inspiring us, I can't really see many other options and we'll need him as Captain if Larry drops Spearing?

Well these three seem shoe in's - a lot of pressure on 3 loan players!!

“You can’t get away from the fact that there were some good performances,” he added.
“Chris Maxwell I thought was very positive in how he played on his debut and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall was outstanding, getting on the ball and making us tick.
“Connor Ronan also got in the pockets like we asked him to do in the 4-4-2 shape we played, so there were some positive performances despite the difficult period we’re going through.
“If we keep playing like we did on Saturday and eradicate the mistakes, we’ve got a chance of winning a lot more matches.”

I'd play Gnando, as much as he was utter garbage on Saturday, he's still the better option. Truth is, Grayson needs to pick his best side and give them a few games to settle. Chopping and changing every week isn't ideal. That said, I'd definitely try Howe and Moore, they just can't be worse than our defence has been at Wycombe and Oxford.

I like that team of TDs... virtue could do some damage coming from deep but I worry he might not be sufficiently robust infront of a currently spluttering defensive unit so we will probably need the new boys in to play him there.

Didn't realise Edward's was injured, thought Grayson was just using his special tactics and keeping him out of play.

Though last time he was out for a few matches, he came back fighting to be back in first team and did well... So thought was trying that again!

As for Heneghan, maybe it is just the Blackpool run of bad luck rubbing off on him as none of them have really stood out these last lot of matches. Just these last few matches I've found him being a bit slow etc.. and thought trying other options (but since Edwards is injured.. as you say not much choice)..

Think some people really love gnadz, but apart from his goals, I've found him to not really do much else since start of season. I guess he's the marmite of the pool, but up until now we haven't really had anyone else who scores the goals... Maybe Madine is the answer! He's started pretty well. So I'd defo not put gnadz in my 11... Bench for me!

I like the look of the Fonz behind Madine - however if Kaikai was fit he would be a shoe in - for me, the difference between early season form and what we're watching now!

I often wonder if people just see Gnando on the scoresheet and automatically assume he's a good player or had a good game. Yes he's scored goals but that's because he's been the only one up there all season with balls crossed onto his swede.

Teams have nullified Feeney on the right which has then in turn slowed Gnando's goals - he brings nothing to the team other than the odd header from a cross (he's most effective defending corners)!.

Madine and i genuinely believe Nuttall will come good with a good run of games and a goal to ease the nerves and give him some confidence.

100% agree that eventually Madine and Nuttall will make a better partnership but my worry is confidence levels, if we start poorly I can see things turning pretty toxic. I hope our fans get right behind all our players, not just the new recruits.
