Sack off the silly 3-5-2 and play Hamilton and Joseph as wingers in a front three.
Or if 3-5-2 has to remain, play Lyons at right wing back and Thompson (or new signing) at left wing back.

It sounds incredible saying this but last night the player who showed the most attacking intent was James Husband, potentially play him at left wing back with Pennington returning to the back 3?
Or dare I say it, give Thompson a go at left wing back and put Lyons on the right.

I actually think we could be more bold at home and play Lyons as the RCB similar to Kyle Walker.
Last night Husband and Casey had the most time on the ball and the biggest space to run into. Casey defended well but he’s not a ball carrier or crosser like Hubby can be.
Away from home be more pragmatic maybe but last night was clear that they would just mark our wing backs out of the game and press Marv to hoof it by covering off Norburn.

Same here I don't dislike him and I cannot fathom how people can still justify him starting after so many inept performances.
I would love to be proven wrong but one decent half every blue moon is simply not good enough in professional football.

Norburn and Husband were the pick of a poor performance last night…we need a specialist left wing back so Lyon’s can go back to right wing back and we can get more balance.

Lyons on the right and Thompson on the left until Gabriel is back. Hell, I'd even put Connelly on before him right now. We could also push Husband out left and put Tharme in the back 3 till Pennington is back. There's a few options right now

I actually found Lyons quite frustrating on Tuesday - didn't seem to have a final ball in his game.
