Why the UK should get vaccine priority

Yep, relentless negativity. Remember you're the poster who openly stated you couldn't bring yourself to congratulate the govt on how the vaccine rollout is going. You're a prime example who is all over every bad news thread either on Brexit or Covid yet conveniently go missing whenever there's any good news or some positivity.
Jeez, I'm sure the leader of the opposition has offered more positivity than you have.
Relentless negativity sums you up perfectly. Snipe, snipe, snipe.
The vaccine rollout is going very well. Congratulations to all of the health workers, volunteers, scientists, transporters, storers, manufacturers and Government workers who've enables this to happen.

You do Wiz. You and others with your relentless negativity.
It's easy to type that every brexiter wants the very best for this country and saw remaining as the antithesis of that. They are just words and opinions Wiz, nothing more than that. And it's dragging you down.

We are out of the EU. All you remainers lost and can now do nothing about it apart from whinge and moan about it on an obscure football message board. You've got the rest of your lives to live. So quit being miserable and just get on with it. You always have a positive outlook on BFC, it's time to do the same with the rest.

Accept the decision and move on. You'll feel much better for it when you do.
You're one for facts. Prove to me that I think the UK is the Great Satan. That's utter nonsense and you know it.

You know it's nonsense but your hate filled agenda against people on this board knows no bounds.

Not bad for someone who claimed to have no interest in politics yet spends all day relentlessly pursuing others who don't agree with him and telling them where they are going wrong.

Can we now assume that you do indeed have an interest in politics and move on?

I would class you as the most negative poster on here. Your veiled "optimism" is really a vehicle to have a pop at other posters. You showed your true colours last week with your ridiculous assertion "if you don't like it leave" nonsense. Tolerance isn't your strong point.

I simply replied to Robbie using his own words where he considered those Brexiteers thought that the EU was the Great Satan.

Yep, my tolerance of you and your extreme negativity is to be admired.

Point to the bit in the contract that supports the EU position please.
I'm sure there's a bit in the contract that EU lawyers could point to if they wanted to build a legal case. The key element appears to rest around 'best efforts'. I've no evidence for or against to say if 'best efforts' have/were made. The key point around my first reply, is neither do you. Yet you replied with total certainty. Opinion dressed up as fact.

By the way, you do know that the bloke behind Guido Fawkes is a well known Breixteer, so i'm not entirely convinced a contract followed by his/the sites opinion is any less biased than yours.

I'm comfortable with this situation. The EU has made a right balls up of its vaccine approach. The UK - probably because we're independent of the EU - has been far more agile in getting things in order.

I'm sure there's a bit in the contract that EU lawyers could point to if they wanted to build a legal case.

They can try, but I doubt it would go anywhere, AZ almost certainly has better lawyers than the EU and the contract looks pretty watertight to me.

Not the best source but: https://order-order.com/2021/01/29/ursula-von-der-leyens-claims-undermined-by-agreement/

"while the EU are spinning that the agreement means that they are entitled to a share of the doses manufactured in the UK, a top legal boffin tells Guido that it is plainly wrong – to the point of being not really arguable"

The key element appears to rest around 'best efforts'. I've no evidence for or against to say if 'best efforts' have/were made. The key point around my first reply, is neither do you.

Why would AZ not be making "best reasonable efforts"? Do we have any reason to doubt the words of the AZ CEO that it's due to production difficulties and nothing else?

I think we're entitled to assume that they have made best reasonable efforts unless and until evidence to the contrary is provided.

[Edit]

In fact it occurs to me that the argument isn't about best reasonable effort at all.

The EC is arguing that the UK is part of the EU for the purpose of manufacturing the vaccine and any shortfalls in delivery must be made up from UK production.

The contract quite clearly says otherwise, the only mention of the UK in the whole contract is in section 5.4 and it quite clearly says that is only for the purpose of that section and no other.

Opinion dressed up as fact.

AKA "the law".

By the way, you do know that the bloke behind Guido Fawkes is a well known Breixteer,

He tends to be reasonably reliable and usually quotes sources if you want to check.

so i'm not entirely convinced a contract followed by his/the sites opinion is any less biased than yours.

That's the official contract signed by AZ and the EC, it's also available here: The European Commission, although I think you'll find that Guido is more reliable.
