WILDER V FURY fight thread

My mate‘s plan is this...

his brother in law is recording it and my mate is going round there at 8am with 6 other lads to watch the recording “live”
they all have to get there without having looked at a phone, turned on radio etc so they can all watch it not knowing the result

no ** chance
Got to admit it's flaming hard to avoid the result I've switched on the telly and Sky sports news was on and in one second my 20 quid felt worthless for a Box office fight.

Fury has to do to Wilder what he did ti Klitschko. Nullify that big right hand. Wont be easy for 12 rounds, but Fury is very capable of doing it if he stays focused. He switched off twice first time round and landed on his arse both times, the second time severly. How he got up I don't know? Like Wilder said "against me you have to be perfect every second for 12 rounds, I only have to be perfect for 1 second". The fight is against a Yank, in America with all American judges and an American ref. Seems like it is all stacked against Fury.

Prediction: Fury UD points win

Ps. The ring walks are scheduled for around 5am UK time. I am planning on setting an alarm for 4am and getting set up. You have to watch it live these days cos if you don't you will finf out the result unless you behave like a monk til you can watch your recording

Sounds about right 5 am is 9pm Vegas 12 Eastern time.

Easy prediction. If it goes the distance Fury will win. Anything else and wilder's got it. I do fear for Fury's eye though. I think Wilder will target the scar, which must be a weak spot.

Wilder to flatten the self named gypsy king somewhere between 7, 8, 9. Each outcome is priced at around 20/1.

Maybe worth a saver at 25/1 on the draw. Lightening may strike twice. Followed by the big decider in the UK 👊💰💰

Wilder to KO Fury in the third round with a blow from nowhere just as Fury is settling into the fight.

Agree with Fury on points, however wouldn’t be surprised if either of them win inside the distance. Not being tight but will not pay to watch it, I already pay enough for my various TV packages. I feel they should have a reduced price for loyal sports customers.

Ways around watching without paying but I do totally agree with you that we shouldn't have to pay an extra 25 quid on top. Of our already pricey subscription

I think that Fury will do to Wilder what Ali did to Forman.
Tire Wilder out then knock him out in the latter rounds.
If Fury does what he says he's going to do, go toe to toe he won't last three rounds.

Not sure he said he was going toe to toe with Wilder? Well if he has I have missed it. He has said he wants to knock him out and that he will in two rounds. You don't have to go toe to toe to KO someone though. But you are right if he did go toe to toe he qould get ironed out

Stopped on a cut to Tyson’s eye round 8/9.

A lot will depend on whether Tyson’s change of trainer helps or hinders him.
They also have a 3rd fight signed and sealed so they need to put on a show.
60/40 in Wilders Favour.

Got to agree Hazi that was a really bad deep cut in his last fight is 23 weeks enough for it to heel and could be his downfall.

I’m a loyal Drinker.....should a I get cheaper pints?, I like the Theatre so should get free tickets .....it’s called capitalism mate.......try the alternative

Well said Blood the something for nothing culture does my fuckin head in.
It’s pure bollox mate👍..it’s £25 ffs!....pool together with 2/3 pals if you really wanna watch it and don’t wanna pay full whack or shut up and watch a vid on the internet when you wake up Sunday if you spend 5 mins looking for one that works

I am also a loyal drinker and my local has a system where I do get discount after paying for so many pints. What is the point in paying good extra money for sports channels every month only to find when a good sporting event comes around the money you pay each month counts for nothing😡

You have agreed a contract to get what you are currently getting. You now either agree a separate £25 contract to watch this fight or you don’t watch it...that’s your choice. When you signed up with SKY/BT were you misled that as soon as you signed they would stop ppv events and have every event covered under that contract?
Your other principled choice if you feel so strongly is to cancel your contract in protest

That’s not a saver Bally’s that’s a gamble hence why it’s 25/1

I watched Fury v Wilder1 again today and it's clear that Tyson was robbed of the decision. All the experts and pundits at ringside, including the Americans, had him between 4 and 6 rounds ahead going into the 12th. Even Wilder's body language at the end was that of a defeated champ. What I found most interesting though was Wilder's apparent lack of stamina. After the knock downs in 10 and 12 he didn't have the strength to finish the fight. In fact, if Tyson had landed then, Wilder would have gone. You wouldn't think so to look at them but Tyson was definitely the fitter of the two.

Anyway, tonight's a different fight. If it goes the distance, Fury will win. If not, it's Wilder.

Ring walk won’t be at 8pm their time.....there are 9 fights in beforehand .......but my alarm is set for 4.20am so I can wake up. make a brew and get into the groove 👍

The nearer to 4 the better but whatever time I'll be watching for sure. I fear the Wilder KO but have bet a quid on every round and a fiver on round 5 for Fury. If he wins by KO I win regardless of round. I guess the bookies give him zero chance? And yes, it's shit paying extra on top of Sky and BT but what's 25 quid for a sports gig? A match ticket. Tyson on points would do for me and sod any bets, I just want him to win. 💪
