Will the Shrimps tactics work in League One?

This is unchartered territory for them and I for one wish them success in staying up.
Their record last year given was amazing given their resources and if that means defence come first then I suggest you look at our record last year too.

I'm not sure they'll have much choice.
It's been mentioned on here a few times that L1 is very strong this coming season, which is why most posters (including me) are glad we went up at our first opportunity.

They won't be the only ones playing defensively and hitting teams on the break or by set pieces. I can't see the Shrewsburys and the Accringtons changing their ways much for example.

Good luck to them

Morecambe’s goal & any chances they did create came directly from errors/sloppy play by ourselves.
Having everyone behind the ball is all well & good until you concede. Morecambe will do very well to finish 5th bottom.

I disagree - as others have said, we struggled against sides like Morecambe last season and some of them did survive .. although the fact sides like Rochdale went shows you do need to have more than just 11 behind the ball to survive.
Rochdale didn't just put 11 behind the ball.

Last season we went out all guns blazing and had a poor start. Remember Plymouth away? Then we went very defensive once Calderwood arrived and many games were extremely boring. We built on that solidity and the attacking side of our game then improved. Maybe Morecambe need to go through the same process. Find their feet first in new territory for them. I thought they did OK against us.

I'd be pretty excited if I was a Morecambe fan, some pretty big clubs visiting them this season, and they will be determined to stay up. I hope they have a good season.

Yes. Most clubs will feel massive to them. They have nothing to lose. I think they will do well to get 30 points.
