Will we ever see Valeri again?

This has probably been covered a gazillion times before....if it has I genuinely don’t know the answer.

Now the honeymoon period of being under new ownership is over and the stench of any previous owners have been eradicated from our club, has Mr Sadler had any contact with Valeri Belekon ?

Has Valeri had any open invites from Simon to revisit Blackpool ( As an honorary guest ) .... if so , would he accept the invite graciously or has Bloomfield Road left a bitter taste in his mouth.

Just getting nostalgic and pic surfing....obviously had a big place in his heart for us , and nothing showed that more than his tangerine suit.

I guess he’s not interested, he’s got his business to take care of, his divorce and apparently has been paid.

I think you have a good point, would be nice to hear he has been invited to a game. No need to go into anything else.

Just to clarify we don’t need to get into the legal issues, but image VB getting introduced to the crowd just before KO, I would like to think that would be a sight to be seen and heard. Many thanks VB

TAM, have you heard anymore about the 10 year anniversary do? I would have thought it would have been arranged and advertised by now.

In my heart I wanna say he'll at very least make an appearance at some point. Surely he'd get a hero's welcome? But my head says that maybe he's just watching from the bylines. As OP said, the tangerine suit was a big display of his love for BFC. Can't see him just not being interested and that's the end of it. Maybe I'm just a deluded, sentimental fool... but think it could give us a bit of a lift if he showed his face for a game.

Who knows though... nowt queer as folk.

Isn't there going to be a 10 year anniversary dinner later this year for the promotion team? Would be the perfect time to get him and the guys over from Latvia.
Nothing arranged yet that I’m aware of Club really needs to take the lead for me Had some discussions last Wednesday which need to be followed up on Might also feature at the Structured Dialogue meeting I suspect
One way or another we need to make it happen

Would be great to see him as an invited guest by SS to the last match of this season at home to bring closure to that particular period of time in our history, in fitting with the 10th anniversary.

Absolutely and I will definitely want a weekend up North for that one.

Christ Tim,
have ever heard of punctuation!?

There's a dinner for the 50th anniversary of winning promotion at Deepdale.
That is fantastic, not heard anything about it.

Fred Pickering, hat-trick. 3-0 win at Deepdale. Over 30,000 crowd, and before the days of the M55, thousands upon thousands of Blackpool fans descended on Preston. Even on their old Kop, Blackpool fans were everywhere that night.

Plus Blackpool promoted to the First Division AKA the top flight, followed by Preston being relegated to the 3rd Division (in modern terms League One). What isn't there to like about that night and that season? :)
