It’s definitely dropped a fair few degrees up here, especially with no sun breaking through. It must be cold in Blackpool. I went to my local with a t shirt on and had a go at the landlord for having the heating on.Not had the heating on today
I like the climate changes we have. Takes me a week or two to adjust mentally but then I embrace all 4 seasons.I know it's not for everyone but I really like this time of year. bonfire smell in the air, frosty, cozy and the run up to christmas (I'm getting soft in my old age)... Gets a bit annoying around Feb/Mar though and I'm buzzing for spring by then.
I think the climate we have here suits me fine as you get a bit of everything throughout the year and the odd extreme (thunderstorms etc.). Hopefully we get a 'front loaded' winter this year and maybe some snow?! Nov/Dec???!!?! Wishful thinking no doubt.
Anyone else?
I got my socks out too todayWearing my woolly walking socks in the evenings to keep my feet warm.
Oh yeah I had a pint of stout after the mild. Then came home and cooked the first roast dinner I've made since last winter. Good Sunday actually.Same as voy, had a dark ale. A bottle of really lovely stout.
Lit the fire...
What's the candle for?Anything you’ve done apart from putting your heating on that tells you Winter is on the way?
I dragged out, cleaned and wore my boots today
And have lit a candle in my bedroom the last few nights and bought some thicker bedding.
You ?

I think the lack of sunlight and darker evenings play a part psychologically.Personally I thought it was mild in blackpool today
Spent the day cutting overgrown plants back

Those 'geese' are probably Cranes. Used to fly over our house in France.Seeing the Geese flying overhead always amazes me and tells me Winters coming.
