I think SG must have told Gnanduillet to come back for opposing corners, so when the ball was cleared to the half-way line there were no Pool forwards there and it came straight back.

I've always been a believer that "high tempo" football can mask weaknesses elsewhere. You do need a superfit squad though. Are we?
If you want to add to that lots of accurate passes and goals that's just a little (actually a lot) more difficult.
A good aspiration though.
