Would PNE fans want us up?

Let's face it, their sad little existence in the Championship is never going to amount to anything, I think we all know that, and so I wonder of secretly that PNE fans are hoping we get promoted so they get at least two games they can wet their pants about next season?

As much as they don't want us to get promoted on the face value of that means we're having some success, they'd be happy to have the derby back.

It's been far too long, last month we entered the 2nd longest period in our history without playing each other.

With the exception of ‘Giro’, they’re a pretty anonymous set of fans. Not even when we were in the same league did it stir them to venture onto Avftt.

Imagine living in Preston in lockdown. How bad must that be? They've probably all turned translucent and forgotten how to talk.

Nobbers who I work with aren't bothered one way or the other.
TBH if it was the other way around I wouldn't give a toss either.
The only ones who I think want the fixture back are the youngsters who haven't had it over the years.

100% they wants us back......This derby is the only time Sleepdale has more than 10,000 fans inside....and 5,000 of them are Blackpool.

Their sad little existence without anyone to call a 'real' derby has once again shown them as a mediocre, mid table, non entity.
What have they got to look forward too at the moment......putting a bowler hat on once a year and pretending they were once a 'big' club in 1881

Even Uncle Trev wants shut of them......but nobody wants to stump up a lousy £1 to buy them with all their debts.
They need an owner willing to stump up £12m a year....just to open the door

It's been so sad to see their underperforming team of journey men.....underperform even further to become so average.....
Just limping into boring and watching as their fans desert the club because nobody cares....even Brad Potts cant be bothered.....

When they get back, what have they got.....an empty, crumbling ground where the game just echo's around 20,000 empty seats that haven't been sat in since 1961......They really need us, more than we need them.

They probably want 3 sides going up that they fancy finishing above, their number is close to being up in the Championship and with more players leaving in the summer and still no word on their new manager, they really are under pressure to make the right decisions. One bad summer and a poor start would be priceless.

Back to the OPs question, no, they wouldn't, just as I wouldn't if the roles were reversed. I want them to lose every game.

A few Nobbers are saying it's win win win for them. If we go up they get to play us and if we lose they get to mock us. Tw@'s

What about PNEThor? His predictions were always good for a laugh and he gave as good as he got.......

Being a true nobber I hope you do get promoted, so we have a Derby back. It will be great for you lot coming to a super stadium instead of visiting Fleetwood. Just to see your smiling faces as you look what a super stadium looks like .

I assume that's what PKE fans go to see then. Architecture appreciation society kinda thing.

It's everywhere where there are buildings. 👍
That’s very true mate, I must admit that Blackpool has some stunning architecture, unfortunately the majority of people who visit your town have no interest or take notice of the fine buildings. Heathens they are .

God how bad would that be, us nobbers in a relegation scrap. But if we go down you get the derby game back. 👍

I reckon it would make them a bit nervous, as when we tend to be in the ascendancy they tend to wither away and vice versa. It's a strange cosmological phenomenon.

I know plenty of Preston and Blackburn fans and they all desperately want us to get promoted they’re not back even subtle about it, they practically celebrate all our goals and wins. And tbf why wouldn’t they? I’d want them to in the same league as us it adds fun and spice to it so why wouldn’t they?

It’s good to see you’re not bitter and twisted😄

I could almost hear your teeth grinding as you wrote it.🤬

Could it happen, the Clampets down, Nobblers stay, Blackburn stay and us up !! 6 derbies, and the Pool assume their natural place TOP

Don't care whether they want us up or not. We're coming and they'll have to get used to it.

Preston fan: "did ya see Blackpool might be going up cha ?

Preston fan #2: " no I was reading a copy of the match programme from our last trophy win , the quill work is top notch "

Preston fan: "proper good that cha, might set up the reel-to-reel later and watch the invincibles , hard to understand what's goin on with all the horses blocking the view and the goalkeepers pipe smoke wafting over the cobbled-pitch but what a day"

Preston fan #2: "makes you proud, I actually heard they're arranging all 4 rows of seats on our newest stand into the face of the horse who scored the winning goal "

Ha ha are you having a laugh it's the most boring building in shiteston ,even worse than that monstrosity of a bus station ,built of breeze blocks and plastic sheeting ( cmon you must know that our stadium is more pleasing on the eye than that shit tip )Did they ever repair the roof on the away end ,remember always getting piss wet through every time I went to the sess pit 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁(deluded bastard) (did you watch the video deepdale walk embarrassing )hemmings must be ashamed of it ( and probably can't wait to build a big housing estate to fill with more immigrants from our once wonderfull empire) up the mighty we will once again be above you lot ,not to much in the future I think ,how's your arses twitching a bit now I bet🖕😄.

Sad little Nobbers even have a thread to talk about us and have done all season!

Love how celebrating your team achieving something is such an alien concept to them, they seem confused as to what was happening outside the ground last night.

I assume that is the point in the "what are they celebrating" comment anyway, otherwise their pitch invasion in the first round of the Mickey Mouse cup against us AND their pitch invasion against Chesterfield where they spat on Ian Evatt after securing the play-offs wouldn't make sense would it?

Absolutely no way they want us to go up this season- look at it this way it’s a fact that 95 % of the world’s crayons are produced in China , I have a good friend who works in the main factory over there ( in hangzhou) he says due to the pandemic & social distancing the production rate is down to 18% so if you think about it the nobbers wouldn’t have enough crayons to write on there stained bed sheets messages like cmon chaltn/ porsmuh/ oxfud/ sanderln to hang on bridges from the m55 down to Wembley - well the m55 to charnock Richard to be more precise- that’s the closest they’ve been to Wembley for a few decades

Preston 4 Swindon 0, you must try harder !

you must have tried harder after losing the previous 8
Now now, no need for that just before your most important games for a good few years. Not everyone is a bitter and twisted person like you. Some of us nobbers want you to get promoted so we can all enjoy OUR derby again.

Some of your lot on your forum are suggesting our derby is fading away due to us "rotting in the lower leagues for too long". A suggestion which is hilarious considering it was PNE who were in League One for a few years whilst we were in the Championship (and Championship whilst we were in the PREMIER LEAGUE for a season 😉).

They were even going as far to suggest Blackburn are now becoming your main rivals. I know every forum has its nob'eds but I found that ludicrous!

Tangerine, as you say every club has it knob heads. But thank god the majority of fans are sensible, intelligent, knowledgeable fans. Who in their right minds wouldn’t want OUR derby . That’s the fun of it, good banter, bragging rights and a good honest natter about the games. So come on mate and get promotion, would love to have a pint and a bit of banter with Blackpool fans, all in a jovial mood mind.

Well Triumph ,I for one would love to have a pint with you and the other 3 true Preston fans. or should I say “nobbers” I reckon Accrington ave a more loyal support and much bigger numbers.
I,ve always thought Hemings only bought Knob end because the O,s wouldn’t sell him The Mighty Pool . Still I may be wrong .
See you next season ,keep in touch

Like your sense of humour Chester, look forward to seeing you next season, me and my 3 mates, lol. Take care and best of luck.

Yes, this one.

Not that weird cheap Meccano replica hanging off the arse end of Moor Park.

Have you finished naming all your stands after your most famous players yet? I'm looking forward to seeing the Jon Parkin end.

Great post from 'Kathryn' about NC

His playing career was underwhelming. One appearance for Crewe and three for Leigh RMI.

Can someone explain to her that the head coach doesn't actually play for the team.
