Youth FA Cup

It was a tackle that went straight through to the keeper as he wasn't under any pressure at the time he should have just cleared it.

So many good performances, but loved Squires and Fitzgerald at the back, bit like James and Suddaby at their peak 😉
 
Great performance by the young lads (just caught up with the replay). Particularly want to pick up on the second goal in particular.

* Great bit of tidy defending by young Tyler Hill on the edge of his own box. Eased their guy off the ball, turned. Took control of it.

* Daniels dropped off into space, turned, looked up, found a perfectly weighted ball.

* Matshazi drops off the shoulder of the last man, controls and could not have finished better.

Those three probably the pick, along with McLoughlin in goal and Trusty in midfield. Daniels especially looks a class act. Hounding and harrying like a little Jerry Yates.
 
The potential for the youth to flourish and produce genuine first team players since the Oyston regime and Critchley’s involvement is a real benefit we have yet to reap.

There are so many positives the support can focus on, rather than the negatives.
 
We went and really enjoyed a great performance by the lads. Seemed quite a lot there, anyone got the attendance figure?

Daniels is a big lad, only just 17 years old. A lot bigger than Jerry Yates

Along with the deserved plaudits for the players in this post (and others), a big 👏 for Michael Fitzgerald at the back.
Resolute, read the game well, confident distribution, a real captain's performance.
I forget where he's on loan, but I'd imagine he doesn't look out of place in senior football.
 
Not all Blackpool youth shone last night.
Two lads (15-16 years old?)sat in front of me and my lads were talking about the opposition.
One said, where is Newcastle?
