Pool are currently 2nd in league on goal difference after Fleetwood won their game in hand mid-week 7-0 at Walsall
Prior to that Pool were top with a 5 goal better goal difference.
Fleetwood are currently beating Nobbers 2-1. If the scores remain unchanged Pool will be back to the top on goals scored, the goal difference is the same.

I look forward to the time when it's safe enough to start watching the u/18s again so I can put some flesh on these c&p reports from the Academy's twitter feed.
I can't personally see the danger in being outdoors on a field at Myerscough with about 20 other people.
Just looking at the pictures on twitter from The Cods game today at (Black)Poolfoot it looks like there were a handful of spectators there.
I'll put a link to the goals when they come up.
 
Looking seriously impressive the youth team at the minute. Hope we’ve learned from past mistakes and can keep hold of a lot of these lads

Yes, he's 19.
He was playing as a concession to earn a pro-contract after missing a large part of last season through injury but once he got his contract that concession ended.

General observation;
The passing and movement, weight of pass and general directness is much better than the 1st team. I know the level of competition is completely different, but it’s more about the intent.

Think most clubs’ have that dilemma of trying to integrate the youth players into the 1st team, where money is king and managers’ get potted after a few bad results. It’s the right thing to do, but there’s seldom a right time to do it.

I’d like to see a few of the youth team get sub appearances on a regular basis, but as we aren’t scoring enough goals, we’ve only rarely been in a position to coast to 90 mins and not worry about bringing a youth player on for valuable experience.
