Bromley or Solihull

Can't remember why I didn't tick off Solihull back in 2018 - was it televised? Must admit that was the reason I didn't do Bromley.

Bromley . David Jones or as he became David Bowie spent his formative years attending Bromley Technical College while attempting to break in to the music business.

Only 23K for a Wembley final is disappointing.
Shows that neither team has great support.
Another Sutton United / Forest Green replacement .
The record low attendance (*) was much lower.

Fylde vs Salford City, 2019 at Wembley - 8,049.

And 23,000 is not a particularly low crowd for the NL Playoff Final.

Boreham Wood vs Tranmere Rovers, 2018 - 16,306.

And in 2011 a certain Luton Town lost to Wimbledon in front of 18,195.

There have been crowds over 30,000 and some over 40,000. But most are similar to the 23,000 at this year's Final.

(*) disregarding the finals during covid restrictions

Basically it’s 1 in (Bromley) 1 out (Sutton) in terms of geography.

May well be a similarly short lived stay as well

Amazing the difference in NL coverage this year from last

I read one of Dave Roberts books (he who wrote the Bromley Boys book which was turned into a film).

I then saw he had died in 2021. It’s a shame he never saw yesterday.

So a team in white beats a team in yellow and blue in a playoff final.
Wonder if we'll see the same outcome in the league 1 final🤔

Really pleased for Bromley - a proper club with 132 years of non-league history. I remember the owner being interviewed on BBC when we played there in the Cup and he was impressive. Good luck to them.
