3) Jerry Yates against Northampton at home in promotion season.
4) Neil Danns away to Oldham, can't remember the year but it was FA Cup in the McMahon era.
5)Andy Preece scissor kick against Wigan in the Marsden cup

i know.we try and rack up old ones from the memory banks but mines boring really and ready been mentioned; Charlie’s free kick at Wembley 🤷‍♂️

The other thing is i must be getting old i can remember all the goals listed to date except the Morty free kick 🫣

1 - CA at Wembley
2 - Alan Gow at Watford
3 - Keith Southern at Cheltenham
4 - Wes at Oldham
5 - CA at Preston

Purely for the days and times, probably missed loads but just some that came to mind.

A few others that I remember fondly:

Tony Ellis last minute equaliser at Stockport.
Dave Bamber bicycle kick vs Sheff Utd at home.
Phil Horner vs West Brom at home.
Mike Davies vs PNE
The Mike Davis goal at Sleepdale was one of the first I thought of 👍🏻
Can't believe no one's mentioned Eamon's screamer against Chesterfield 🤔

Edit to add,

Keith Walwyns goal against Northampton from what seemed the half way line.
Bambers goal against the Dingles when oooh Andy Garner sped down the left wing like a gazelle before delivering a pinpoint cross for Big Dave to slide in and score👍🏻

Not in any order:

Mickey Walsh, home to Sunderland.
DJ Campbell, his second away to Nott'm Forest in the play-offs.
Tony Green's 1st versus West Ham in the Cup.
Mickey Walsh header, home to Fulham when he "came the most enormous distance."
Kevin Phillips' equaliser away at Brighton.

Charlie Adam Free kick Wembley
Richard Walker Header v Plymouth
Mickey Walsh Goal of the season
Paul Dalglish team goal after about 40 passes and he tapped it in Think it was against Luton but probably wrong
Brett Ormerod goal v Spurs because he became a true Legend when it hit the back of the net.

1) Charlie Adam free kick Play off final
2) Wellens halfway line goal against Port Vale (I think??)
3) Jerry Yates against Northampton at home in promotion season.
4) Neil Danns away to Oldham, can't remember the year but it was FA Cup in the McMahon era.
5)Andy Preece scissor kick against Wigan in the Marsden cup
Ohhh yea that Danns strike was a stoater!

Anyone on else remember a free kick wellens scored at home against (I wanna say Darlington) it was a night game and he called hillsy over and gave him a whisper, then hillsy went and stood on the end of the wall and shouldered them all out the way as wellens hit it too bins. Hilarious

Eamonns
Charlie at Wembley
Paul Dalglish
Keith Walwyn - no idea who against but it was from inside our half, went in at the Kop end.
One of Steve Hetzke's free kicks

Bill Perry's winner against Bolton at Wembley

Charlie Adam's against Cardiff

Micky Walsh's goal of the season

Phil Clarkson's backheel

Wes Hoolahan's penalty

Honourable mentions for Tony Green against West Ham, Micky Burns's last minute winner in the cup replay against Arsenal and all those Alan Suddick free kicks.

1/ Alan Suddick in the Anglo Italian, one of the first matches I ever saw and that goal could never be beaten.
2/ Micky Walsh goalof the season.
3/ Charlie Adam, the perfection and the importance of that goal.
4/ O'Keefe's bullet against Chesterfield, did they ever find the keepers finger tips?
5/ Dalglish's team goal against Luton under Macca. 26 passes and elegantly finished.

Micky burns Anglo Italian Cup Final deserves a mention for a little fella he didn’t half hit them
Also saw Suddicks Anglo Italian goal even from the Kop it looked unbelievable
Pickering third at Dumpdale hanging on the bar wasn’t too shabby
We don’t do shit goals do we

Not top 5 material…but

That celebration after Virtue’s goal away at Accy Stanley was great!

There was also a John Murphy bullet header late on away at Northampton that also prompted scenes!

That Morty free kick from miles out with the old ball will take some beating for me. In the flesh obviously Charlie at Wembley and The Ghost against the Arse are the holy trinity for me.

Fred Pickering vs PNE 13/04/70 - 1st goal
Fred Pickering vs PNE 13/04/70 - 2nd goal
Fred Pickering vs PNE 13/04/70 - 3rd goal
Micky Walsh vs Sunderland - goal of the season
Charlie Adam vs Cardiff - play off final

1. DJ's second at Forest, liquid football, how many 1-2s with Dobs? At least 14 surely? Bloody brilliant by Dobs and a creamy joy of a finish from DJ.

2. Charlie at Wemberleeee

3. Brett at the end against Orient, nothing amazing but a beautiful ball from Hillsy and Brett's almost nonchalant slide.

4. Brett at Deepdale in 1999, terrible defending but fuck 'em.

5. Wes' piss take chip at the same shithole.

That Forest game……..what a time to be alive ⚽⚽⚽👏👏👏

I remember Rob Edwards (defender version) hitting an absolute stunner at the south end of the ground from a free kick outside the box against The Massive team from Sheffield. The only goal he scored for us.

That was the goal that started the resurgance under McMahon. it was massive in so many ways
Remember sitting on the wall behind the goal in the south paddock. They came for a draw and their keeper was time wasting. Last minute just saw the ball sailing into top bins. Keeper could only watch it and he just dropped to the ground absolutely gutted 😂
