If BST had got their hands on the club ..

Without significant external funding on an ongoing basis BFC would be non-competitive in League Two at best, more likely Conference or Conference North. Years of lax regulation mean an outside backer with deep pockets is the only asset that counts for anything.

BST were never going to retain a majority ownership even in the unlikely event the offer was accepted

Make no mistake about it though it was generous ( particularly with hindsight ) as VB had agreed to make a drop hands offer on his case if Owen accepted in principle

In the Conference but fans would be polite to the catering staff, the sitting sections at away games would be really popular, everyone would put their litter in the bins at matches and Lancashire would be full of the sand, the tower and Blackpool.

We’d be totally fucked up, plummeting down the leagues with little money and nobody at the helm who’d have a clue what they were doing
Interesting that both Wimbledon and Exeter seem to cope as did Pompey
You seem to assume that the ST board would be running the club day to day making football related decisions and they’d all be wrong
Firstly I doubt that
Secondly if true I doubt they’d have employed Grayson Appleton McCarthy or Critchley Part 2

With the benefit of hindsight those appointments were awful but with no massive investment from other sources I very much doubt that bst would have the money to attract any better managers or advisors come to that
I don’t know the full details of the other clubs you mentioned so I can’t compare, I’m not putting bst down but I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t have worked out so I’m very happy it didn’t happen

Don’t worry we’d have had the podcast picking the team and Raggy roped in for stirring team talks
What could possibly go wrong 🤔
Joking apart TAM that combo could not do any worse! Most of the fans in the ground know what’s going wrong especially away from home but I’m at a loss to understand where Critchley and his 2 muppets heads are it’s that blatantly obvious.🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

I’m just making the point that three clubs are/were run prudently and competitively by ST owners inc one with a far larger fan base than us, another who competes as well as its ever done in L1 and another that had a meteoric rise back into the league after facing oblivion
You assume a BFC ST owed club would fail disastrously
Maybe it would
Who knows but if it did it wouldn’t have been by design or employing shite ex-managers

In the Champions League semis, 5-1 up from the first leg in the Bernabeu. 2nd leg already sold-out with 8500 Madrid fans expected at Bloomfield Road, who will share the new state-of-he art chrome and eco-brick 16k capacity East Stand with Pool fans.

In other news, Neil Critchley has defended sending out-of-favour French superstar Kylian Mbappe to AC Milan on loan. Critchley told reporters 'Kylian was obviously upset that he couldn't get in the side, both Jake and Lavs have been electric up top and Kylian, unfortunately, wasn't quite at that level. We wish him well.'

Bet he wishes he’d accepted it !

Doesn’t CJ normally play in a similar position as KM despite him being played as a RWB or LWB, l use the word play in the loosest sense of course?

The club would be gone with BST in charge. They'd be bickering about which Cask Ales to put on for a decade. The football side of it would have ceased to exist years before the "committee" came to an agreement on the ale.

How depressing it is that so many posters take aim at BST, which has done so much for this club and its supporters. I, for one, think the organisation would have done a great job.
That's a great point but it is a shame that folk think about the fans led review etc when thinking of BST. I am sure that they do more but they should be all over here boasting about it.

I'm pretty sure that without BST we wouldn't have a club to follow. The Oystons would have closed us down in lockdown.

If we were facing oblivion I’d obviously go down the bst route

Herts the FLR really doesn’t take up much time
Most is on communication with our club and how we can help fans ( the mascot initiative etc )

I know mate but publicise it more. Change the image BST has. They do some great work.

Apologies if it's only me thinking this.

I think we do
If you push too much you can get stick for that so it’s a double edged sword
I just see people working hard for our club
The other stuff they do in their own time ( if they have any 🤣 )
