Jennings is a class opening bat, glad he's a Lanky Lad now⚘His innings has set up a probable Lancs win away from home at one of the best teams in the division . . . Jennings would get in as No.1 in every county team in the country
Provided the weather holds
If you're referring to my comment read it again, I'm quite aware there are more than one way to bat but the way Bazball go about things scoring at that rate isn't in there thinking pal.Shows how little people understand cricket if they think that there's only one way to bat.
You'd also have to say aggressive batting wins more times than 6 hours of blocking does.If you're referring to my comment read it again, I'm quite aware there are more than one way to bat but the way Bazball go about things scoring at that rate isn't in there thinking pal.
Yeah but he is also able to step through the gears when required.I'm pretty sure McCullum and Stokes won't have him on their radar, that scoring rate would send you to sleep watching it.
Wasn't related to you Bully. As you say, the Bazball approach is to bat hard and score quick. That's a strategic decision to (presumably) give England their best chance of winning with the resources available to them. But there are some comments that seem to imply Jennings was as fault for scoring slowly when the match context seems to fully justify his knock. If you're referring to my comment read it again, I'm quite aware there are more than one way to bat but the way Bazball go about things scoring at that rate isn't in there thinking pal.
It is to our benefit that he is not quite that level higher. If he was he would yet another high paid gun slinger,Jennnings is usually a very quick scorer. The RR has been around 3 or just under most of the game so must be tricky conditions. Jennings is one of those that will forever be a great county player but not quite test standard
And one of the nicest blokes . . no ego at all.It is to our benefit that he is not quite that level higher. If he was he would yet another high paid gun slinger,
A good captain, excellent opening bat and we should be grateful to have him.
