Lancs and Jennings

64 no off 174 balls.......who is his coach?

Sir Geoffrey Boycott.........

Unbelievably slow scoring rate in modern cricket.

Jennnings is usually a very quick scorer. The RR has been around 3 or just under most of the game so must be tricky conditions. Jennings is one of those that will forever be a great county player but not quite test standard

Shows how little people understand cricket if they think that there's only one way to bat.
If you're referring to my comment read it again, I'm quite aware there are more than one way to bat but the way Bazball go about things scoring at that rate isn't in there thinking pal.

You'd also have to say aggressive batting wins more times than 6 hours of blocking does.

Jennings still has the highest score in T20 Finals Day history when playing for Durham. No one has scored quickly on a very slow used wicket. Sadly the weather looks like stopping another Lancs win.

Wasn't related to you Bully. As you say, the Bazball approach is to bat hard and score quick. That's a strategic decision to (presumably) give England their best chance of winning with the resources available to them. But there are some comments that seem to imply Jennings was as fault for scoring slowly when the match context seems to fully justify his knock.

It is to our benefit that he is not quite that level higher. If he was he would yet another high paid gun slinger,
A good captain, excellent opening bat and we should be grateful to have him.

And one of the nicest blokes . . no ego at all.
