O/T. User Names

Don’t know if this has ever been posted before but apologies if it has but I wonder what significance do user names and avatars mean for you all? Some are self explanatory whilst others are perhaps a bit cryptic. Are they picked randomly, a reference to yourself or just sound good?
As it isn’t football related then we can avoid a thread where posters aren’t bickering and having a go at each other.
Then again though, this is AVFTT..................
Mine is very straightforward, it’s my persona of everything related to BFC. My first game was in 1968 and still going strong and even when we have hit lows (of which we have had many) I always believe we will bounce back.
Over to you.

It has been done before but since then we probably have some new or renamed posters. Me personally I had to choose a new name as a family member had managed to get me blocked 🙄. Just as I was pondering the stray cat we fed turned up, he was black so I’m sure you can guess what we called him. Coupled with my year of birth.

When I moved to London I was a member of BASIL for a number of years. When I moved back to God's County it seemed an obvious moniker.

I was skinny as hell until I hit 30. I then really got into lifting heavy weights and supplements and stuff. Working with Arthur Fairhurst (ex Mr Universe runner up in Arnie era)
Fair to say, built some decent muscle thanks to it 👍

It’s my nickname that’s stuck. (Along with the general abuse your mates dish out!)

I train with heavy weights 5 times per week and then do some Hiit around it. I love bodybuilding mainly as a stress buster and because you get out what you put in 👍

First two letters of my first name and then surname. Absolutely no thought given to it from me.

Avatar is me on my 8th birthday in 1969 outside my Mum and Dad’s cafe on the corner of Waterloo Rd and St Heliers Rd.
The name is taken from a Bad Manners song. I love ska snd reggae.
that looks like a Blackpool kit from Rawcliffes. i had one . grandad anderton bought me one for my tenth in 1970.

I was 8 in 69 and got a shirt like that for Christmas. Whole kit in fact. In a box, with tissue paper, I can still remember the awe I felt opening it up!

When I joined I tried to come up with something that linked the things I'm passionate about with the Mighty. But Watercolour Maiden Bowling Pool looked a bit of a mouthful. The eventual compromise of Crowngreenpool wasn't much of an improvement, but I stuck with it for years.

For some reason that account corrupted itself sometime during the boycott years. I could read on here but not post. When I got back on, I took the opportunity to shorten it.

Sounds like you were banned. 😉

Lived and worked in Munich for 16 years and used to go and watch Bayern on a regular basis when not back here supporting the Mighty!

I used to train at Arthur Fairhurst's gym above William Hills on Talbot Road many moons ago 💪

omg there must have been a whole blackpool kids team with rawcliffe blackpool kit. white cardboard box with tissue paper.

Mine is basic, i am a fan as i have been all my life and 33 is my fav number, i did change my name a few weeks ago from one which was more around my own name, but I like this one better, not been on here long though

Username is my nickname from childhood and a play on my surname, whilst my avatar is my kids on my sons graduation from Sheffield University because its the only picture i could find!

He sadly passed away about 9 years ago. Arthur was an absolute Legend (and his wife Viv)

Did some work for him over Preston way many years ago.

His book on nutrition was the bible with my pals when we were young and training regularly. Had tubs of kelp tablets and the like...

No Idea how I came to my user name :)

Avatar - I'm into ancestry and found a Lord or Knight somewhere way back, and this is his coat of Arms. Sounds impressive, but if you go back as far as your 12th great grandparents you have 16,000 of them. So you are bound to find a Knob somewhere.

Yes he was a top bloke and introduced me to weight training . I'm still at it at the age of 65 (next month) and was in the gym at 5.30 this morning. Leg day
Awesome! There’s no reason why you can’t be still doing that in 15 years time. You’ll have cracking bone density after all those years of making gains - you’re an inspiration.

Do leg days ever get any better?
