If they had that then Rhodes would be ours but they don’t and deals are few and far between in JanuaryThat's assuming that an alternative striker taking up the same squad place would score zero goals.

Not sure we were ever in with a real chance with a host of Champ clubs interested in him - bit of how shall we say ‘tenuous journalism’ with Critchley’s link to Crewe. I’m sure we probably enquired and wanted to do a deal but once the Champ clubs started looking our chances of getting him went to nil very quickly.I see we've missed out on some guy from Crewe . Signing for Rovers. Nobbers and Coventry were also in for him .
They've got a full squad of 25 players. Rhodes was surplus to requirements. And he struggled to score at that level for 5 consecutive seasons. If they had that then Rhodes would be ours but they don’t and deals are few and far between in January
You disagree got it. If I was at Huddersfield in their position I’d take him back let someone else leave their squad. That is unless I found what I thought was a better choice at a reasonable price. They've got a full squad of 25 players. Rhodes was surplus to requirements. They may take him back. I've no idea. It's not certain though. Five years of struggle at that level and he finally drops one and finds his feet age 33. He may wish to carry on and they may well decide not to stand in his way and spend the money elsewhere. You disagree got it. Goalscorers command a premium and realistically when you factor in transfer fee and wages Rhodes represents the cheapest option. They may take him back. I've no idea. It's not certain though. That's true but for five years he struggled to score goals at that level. If he goes back, there's a very good chance he will be largely inactive and his career will stall yet again. I'm not convinced that will happen. It might, but it would be a waste and I doubt he wants to go back when he's waited so long for regular starts and the opportunity to enjoy his football.Goalscorers command a premium and realistically when you factor in transfer fee and wages Rhodes represents the cheapest option.
Would be a great signing, could surely find a Championship club.I see Appleton is supposedly after Fiorini…
Thank god we extended CJ's contractphew!!The goals for this upcoming window should be (in this order);
1. Retain Rhodes
2. Extend Hubby, CJ, Dougall, Dale, and Lavery
3. Sign cover in the 10 role for Kaddy
Anything else is a bonus
After watching his interviews talking about how happy he is here, I dont think for a second he wants to go back. I'm hoping that Huddersfield take that into account, but at the end of the day they will do what's best for them. I just hope this is sorted one way or the other soon, so we can carry on with the rest of the window. His interview certainly did show how happy he was here, even mentioned his kids were settled here if memory serves me right. After watching his interviews talking about how happy he is here, I dont think for a second he wants to go back. He's got to be Rhodes replacement surely. There's no chance he has been signed as an understudy and there is no way Rhodes would go back just to sit on the bench.Huddersfield have just signed a new strike, please let that mean that they won't be recalling Rhodes.
Probably person issues.Owen Moxon injured again or kept out of the Carlisle squad today for a reason ?
What I saw against us he should stay where he is,we let Ward and Kaikai go and Anderson all better than who replaced themProbably person issues.
Injured dead leg.Owen Moxon injured again or kept out of the Carlisle squad today for a reason ?
Rhodes won’t be able to do what he’s doing for us in the Championship with them.If they can’t get anyone else it’s so costly to be relegated that they would be obligated to recall him. Even if he scores half the goals he’s scored for us it’s still more than they are getting now and goals win games. He is the lowest cost most proven option for them. If the Huddersfield manager is smart he’ll watch our games and figure out what our team gives Rhodes that his team did not.
I saw Nixon saying that we weren't in for him so far this window. I know he's massively hit and miss, but it was leaked to him in the summer so if it was to gets leaked to anyone then it will probably be him. Saying that, wouldn't surprise me if we just announced him out of nowhere.Owen Moxon injured again or kept out of the Carlisle squad today for a reason ?
I've been tracking your Hamilton posts Wizzer and I have to say I'm agin 'em! Yesterday his assist was bob on for our second. I've watched him many a time placing deft flicks into the paths of others and he's built up a good partnership with Dembele on the right. Give him some slack dear boy.Thank god we extended CJ's contractphew!!

Was just about to post. Would be a cracking signing for league one have a good mate who’s a Wednesday fan and he says he’d be excellent for usGeorge Byers being linked to us from Sheffield Wednesday. Noise coming more from the Wednesday side so who knows.

I was seeing it as more of a Weir replacement to be honest. This one does sound like he could be KD’s replacement?
Dougall isn’t movingThis one does sound like he could be KD’s replacement?
Here we go. the oracle speaketh!Dougall isn’t moving
I hope he's right! Here we go. the oracle speaketh!
And even more when the source is very hit and miss.Another one … always a bit suspicious when half a dozen clubs get thrown in …
Derby & Bolton make moves to sign ex-Birmingham ace Hale - Sources
Football Insider has been told that Derby County, Portsmouth and Bolton Wanderers have made moves to sign former Birmingham City ace Ronan Hale.www.footballinsider247.com
They'll be better off keeping him just in case they get relegated this season.Looks like Byers is a no go. He's wants to stay at Wednesday and the manager wants to keep him
We seem to be linked with Mf at the moment so I'm guessing someone in there.Which department will be strengthened next? Defense, Midfield or Attack? I think the next incoming will be in midfield
It's from Football Insider who have been very miss rather than hit in last few transfer news parts with us so that is prob a load of billy.Another link for us. Not exactly an exiting one though.
