Peterborough v Blackpool Official Matchday Thread 21.11.20

Nothing passionate about calling for Critchleys head. Writing half the team off as useless. Cant cross, cant defend ,cant score. Thats not passion in my book .W e werent even playing that badly.

What during this game? I think you've mistaken what the original poster said and what I replied. Jeeezzz........

When teams score against us do you just sit on your hands and tut whilst happy clapping or do you not sometimes have a good moan? How pathetic of you. Just beaten the top team in the league and your instinct is to try and be all superior to other fans. Your posts say more about you than anyone showing a bit of passion during the game.
How can you clap happily whilst sitting on your hands ?

Yep all since Sadler acted on what the moaners were saying!! A message bored populated by the likes of you Hazi would be about as interesting as a meeting at Reggie Perrins for the middle-aged, middle class, designed to help them become "better, happier people”.

saddler acts on what the moaners were saying hahahaha just admit when you are wrong.

Very good performance. Gutted when they equalised as it was totally undeserved. Dougall outstanding and MoM.

Now watching the egg chasing on catch up - Jonny May's second try is something to behold.

Just need to be a bit more clinical with a few chances. Kaikai had a great chance and some footed it to the keeper. To be fair he's usually pretty good, still, impressive win and a decent display for the first half and parts of the second, faded a bit but stayed relatively solid.

Yep who were calling for some experience! About two posters were calling for Critchley to go. A huge number except you were calling for experience.
Hazi FFS call it a night.
We’ve just beaten the top of the league played a great game of football and everything finally going in the right direction so chill and enjoy. 👍
If fans moaned earlier in the season so what it’s football we had a crap start.
I am Chilled and very happy 😊 Just responding to messages aimed at me. UTMP

Jesus jack it in folks. We have a great win and out comes the petty sniping. The criticism of NC from some quarters so early in his management career with an entirely new set of players was ridiculous IMO but it's gone and we move forward and enjoy the moment and look forward to the future. In other words, grow up....

We've played Posh, Ipswich, Charlton and Lincoln all near the top and to me none of those sides looked that special, we beat one and should have beaten another two really. Ipswich were clinical but we might as well have sat them down at a long table in the centre circle and served it up to them, we were all at sea that day. The division is wide open and we are turning into one of the strongest sides now, and strongest squads. And vaccines are coming to enable the season to complete, and hopefully fans to return. We could be in amongst it by Xmas.

Be happy!

Allow me to be the pantomime villain.
In the second half of each half they really came into the game. In the first half it didn't worry me, we were playing really well.
In the second half it did worry me because we seemed to relax too much. We weren't in their faces enough. Then came their goal and we woke up. It's good that we had it in us to go and get the second goal then see the game out.
One other concern: Dougall is a key player but his mouth is going to get him into trouble. That's why we need an outfield captain, to keep his gob in check.
Otherwise - brilliant. It's most certainly coming together.

Hear, hear!

I’d say that was the best we have played all season. Dominated the team at the top of the table away from home.

Imagine the away end if we had been there, a 90th minute winner having just conceded an equaliser.

How that bloke wasn’t send off I’ll never know. Regardless of whether he was last man that was a disgusting challenge.

Hats off to them all, I sort of fancied us today, it's a place we seem to do well at. The performance was very good throughout. Barring not being clinical and the ref being a bit of a tosser, it couldn't have gone much better.

Just beat the top of the league team and your first instinct is to be smug and have a go at fellow passionate supporters rather than celebrate the win?
So you'd have been ok with the moaning twunts from the beginning of the season taking advantage of an inexperienced side regards playing as a team slagging every mistake , defensive error or missed chances.
Me?
I'm just having a go at those negative wankers.
Does it sound smug? TBH I don't give a chuffed what you think.
What I do know is that Pool played very well in parts against a team who I cant understand how they were top. We've played better teams this season.

As long as Dougall is not abusing the ref or constantly effing and Jeffing at him , he will be fine !

No you are yet again passively aggressively having a pop at people for daring to have posted opinions on a message board, right after a magnificent victory, on the match thread and claiming to be all chilled and happy. It clearly bothers you or why do it?

Its a queer world where you post on a fans message board that you think experience to support Critchley; experience up front in the form of Madine; and experience in midfield in the form of a leader (Adam/Dougall whoever); and a change to the system, we’re needed

and all these things happen,

and deliver a match winning run....

and apparently you’re the problem deserving of opprobrium!

Im just glad Sadler calls the shots and sees things for what they are without the tangerine tinted specs that some on here view the world through.

Wizzer, have time off mate. Enjoy the win like others are. It's good to be a Seasider, eh?

No he acted because he was seeing the same thing the moaners were seeing and acted . What’s so difficult to accept?
It's great for the messageboard to be proved right but we don't know whether Calderwood (or someone) was always in planning.
We clearly had a vacancy when Dunne left and these things don't always happen overnight.
Other examples of Critchy and the Board actually knowing what they are doing (IMO) was the recruitment of Ballard, Gretarrson, Dougall and Woodburn.
Whilst posters would love to think they are based on messageboard recommendations I just have a feeling that Neil and the Board actually know what they are doing.
We are starting to look a very professional outfit from top to bottom but the buck stops with Simon Sadler (if things go wrong) so my thanks go to him for things going right.
BFC looking like they've turned the corner.

Some of us were being called fools for insisting it would come good. Delusional to be precise. Only fair to give it back.

No doubt someone will do a marks out of 10 (td53?). May I just add a 4:10 for both the ref and for iFollow. The latter only froze twice for me today but the commentary malfunction was annoying.
The ref? Not good.

I’d say it was daft to think that sticking with what we were doing....which was way too much, way too soon without the necessary experience in multiple areas and effectively throwing the young lads into a mess would have yielded the changes in fortunes we’ve now seen.

Anyhow it’s all looking much more stable a platform to succeed now thanks to a massive team effort through the club to move us into firmer ground.

Or settled into a style of play with crucial players coming into key positions? Husband and Turton not playing centre half and Dougall on centre mid have made a big difference plus Madine acting as a focal point.

In addition the likes of CJ have played to their strengths rather than trying to fit a system.
