Hull City v Blackpool Official Matchday Thread 16.01.21

I may be in the minority but my honest opinion is that apart from some decent last ditch defending, we've been utterly abysmal in pretty much every way. Slow to react, physically weak, no ideas in possession. If any of our players really want to make it at anything above league two level, they are going to have to be much more determined because all I see are 10 outfield Blackpool players losing their individual battles. Badly.

Unusually, not getting anything from the officials. That header at the death was offside from before the kick was taken and maintained that gap until he headed it. What is the linesman looking at?

Pool half decent , officials absolutely shite, Hull City cheating diving bastards, other than that , not a bad first half .

I would suggest a minority of one!!!

Its 0-0
If Blackpool are as shit as you're making out what's wrong with Hull that they're not steamrollering this match.
Table tennis is on channel 4 if you're that pissed off

Not too much in it. Can't keep allowing cross after cross into our box as has been said on commentary. Lubala keeps giving the ball away. Yates not done much but is stick with him. Kaikai no comment.
Still anyones game.

Hanging on a bit at times but still looking like we can get one. Dougall needs to be more effective with Honeyman. Referee giving us nowt. even the hack at Dougall was given as a throw-in.

Perhaps, but I think some are very easily pleased. That wasn't a good performance. Solid defensively though.
We had one good chance from the free kick but we're being out muscled all over the pitch in my opinion.

We can do better, as we demonstrated in the home game. Do we really miss Hamilton that much?

We dont have as much control, know how and inventiveness on the ball as I would like.

Allowed them to cut us open a few times and also put balls right across the back line, lucky not to concede form them.

A couple of half chances ourselves but mainly from long ball and chest down.

Have to be a bit better on the ball for me.

You are in the minority
We are up against one of the best teams in the division. We are not getting any protection from the ref and they can foul at will. Madine is giving them a hard time and we have probably had as many chances as they have.

I think you will be 53. Don’t forget, hull have come from a starting position of a squad of championship players. We’ve built a squad from L1 and L2 players. We’re pretty evenly matched, but we must expect that there’ll be a harder press from them as the game goes on. Don’t be disappointed if we revert to holding them and hitting them on the break as the game goes on. A draw is a good result today without CJ

It's just my opinion. We lost most of the individual battles in that half and they're better than that. Much more determination need, although I accept Hull are a good side.
I do think we've defended well.

To be honest I dont think we are great to watch and looking more and more like Simon Graysons team at this stage last season...I hoped for a more fluid attacking style. 0-0 at Hull would be a good result BUT we have to step it up against the next few teams we play...we really do not create enough chances and shots on target are a real issue.

He's on a yellow though, so has to be careful

I think we've matched them pretty well. I'm not sure what some of you expect in a tough away match at a top of the table team?

I still think we need a goalscorer though and we really really miss CJ
Yes I was just reading earlier comments and thought quite harsh really.

thought we started brightly and were controlling the game but they've come back into it and look the more likely now. As you would expect a top team at home to a mid table one. Agree with others. Lubala shocking and Kaikai anonymous.
