Well now the European League is dead and buried it would seem there is a renewed vigour to reform the set up at the top level. I read that there are revived proposals to admit Rangers & Celtic to an initially expanded EPL of 22 clubs with a plan to slowly reduce membership through a gradual weighted relegation to promotion quota to an 18 team set up which is the preferred option of the ‘big six’.
Previous stumbling blocks to this plan include the Scottish League and member clubs vetoing it but it would seem the tide of opinion is changing with the other clubs are happy to wave goodbye to the Old Firm for a variety of reasons.
Maybe something in it??
