Having lived in the area - you're having a laugh. How we miss The Beast of Bolsover
Image is everything and always has been.and yet people wouldn't vote for Ed Miliband because he looked a bit odd eating a bacon sandwich. What a f**king country!
Not saying he is perfect, but there was some honesty, foresight and openness when he called out Dodgy Dave prior to being ejected from the House!Having lived in the area - you're having a laugh.
Amazing how many 'Skinners' seemed to have various 'jobs' associated with the Council, allegedly.
Ed Millinand was / is an absolute **!and yet people wouldn't vote for Ed Miliband because he looked a bit odd eating a bacon sandwich. What a f**king country!
And I suppose calling a senior politician 'an absolute **' is a nuanced critique of his beliefs and approach to national politics....? You set 'em up, I'll bowl at em.Ed Millinand was / is an absolute **!
So is Camoron, by the way, but there was much more to Millibandās failure than baconbuttygate.
Adopting this attitude that āthe voters are stupid because they donāt vote for usā is precisely the reason Labour has become the dogs dinner that it is.
Spot on with the last sentence. They still do it today as do the ones on here. They just don't get it. But hey its a chuckle reading (and occasionally responding to) the continuous echo chamber bollocks knowing that the rest of us outside are cracking on.Ed Millinand was / is an absolute **!

Itās about as nuanced a critique as he was a capable āseniorā politician. And I suppose calling a senior politician 'an absolute **' is a nuanced critique of his beliefs and approach to national politics....? You set 'em up, I'll bowl at em.
Get back on the bus X3. I'm no Momentum lover. It would help if you didn't throw comments around based on assumptions. Ed Miliband was a good leader, he's an excellent debater and I'd have him back in charge like a shot. And no, it's got nowt to do with wanting a free-run for the far left. I'd also have Lisa Nandy, Stephen Kinnock, Jess Phillips, Hilary Benn and Alan Johnson in the Shadow Cabinet; a mix of good tallrnt from around the country and from across the classes.Itās about as nuanced a critique as he was a capable āseniorā politician.
It would be wrong to describe him as the beginning of the end for New Labour as Gordon Brown takes that mantle, but he certainly helped them on the road to what might well turn out to be a permanent demise. At the very least a likely decade more as a political irrelevance.
As I said, your own āMomentumā approach of āThe electorate is too thick to appreciate how great we areā and complete lack of acknowledgment of where the real issues lie is the biggest issue.... A complete disconnect from and total lack of respect normal working people.

Disagree, so there.Heās an unelectable Wally, 1966.
I think it was because he was shite, the bacon sandwich just didnāt help.and yet people wouldn't vote for Ed Miliband because he looked a bit odd eating a bacon sandwich. What a f**king country!
But you are right about the people in this country, didnāt people boycott Yorkshire tea because rishi was pictured drinking it madness.and yet people wouldn't vote for Ed Miliband because he looked a bit odd eating a bacon sandwich. What a f**king country!
Not heard that one Scara. Next thing some people will be refuseing to wear navy blue shorts and a white football top with a lamb of Christ badge on it.But you are right about the people in this country, didnāt people boycott Yorkshire tea because rishi was pictured drinking it madness.
Thatās fine, but in my view itās part of the issue. To my mind itās precisely that kind of mystical belief that āI know bestā despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary... The willingness to believe āitās not me thatās wrong, itās the entire electorateā etc...Disagree, so there.
