Looks like he is a bad loser. More actions of someone who’s lost the plot. We could inform other fans to discourage them to use it & let’s face it who the hell would use it on non match days. A few holiday makers.

Just as a matter of interest, where is it intended to send the petition? If it is the Council, wouldn't it have been useful to also include some planning reasons why the application should be refused. Perhaps overdevelopment, with similar restuarant facilties in the immediate vicinity at the Travelodge, and Football Club?
The Tangerine Club was on the same site. I wonder what happened to that? 🤔
Did we ever find out how much he ended up paying to VB?

There should be an option on the planning application part of the Blackpool Council website to put in your comments.

I'd love to know how such a corrupt old fool such as old man Oyston is allowed to start up all these companies. Would love to know how much he's worth as we'd be idiots to think he didn't take a good £20 million out of Blackpool by the end of it all.

Can't see the planners opposing it unless the neighbours have concerns about traffic, sunlight, noise, litter, anti-social behaviour, etc.

I wouldn t be too bothered about the pub being built the pub trade has gone through
a difficult time a lot have simply gone bankrupt even those run by experienced licencees.
As a start up business it would need the good will and support of the local community
which would not be forthcoming

As it looks as though the owns the land and, no doubt, the Travelodge, it is the last time I will park on that plot when driving to a match.

Guys, he is history as far as we and BFC are concerned.
Thanks to Valeri Belekon ( I’ll bet he still looks out for our results) and our great supporters we are finally rid of him and his loathsome family.
Obviously emotions and ill feelings are still there and for some will be there for ever but what is the point?
Get on with life, enjoy the resurgence of BFC under new ownership and an up an coming manager with a promising team and forget the scarecrow and everyone Involved with him.
Sign the petition by all means but why risk getting a criminal conviction through demonstrating, blocking off roads etc or even advocating that the place gets trashed (should it be built) every week.
It is simply not worth it.

Let them build it and waste more money it will be shut within 6 months of opening like their other white elephant in town Hellfire.

He might be thinking of using it as an away fans boozer. Wouldn’t put it past him! 😂🍊🍊 just can’t help his self.

Signed and shared but a small part of me would like it to open and get trashed each week. Perfect target on match days. I thought he was bankrupt. Is he one of those who exploits the law and walks away from debts to start another enterprise under new Name? Please elucidate anyone :)

I haven't seen any bankruptcy proceedings, as far as I know.

Signed it I'd expect it to be chucked out based on the number of alternative licensed premises within a mile of the proposed site. Don't need any more.
Oyston should be discouraged from opening any business within a ten mile radius of Bloomfield Rd.
What a shithouse he is.

Any planning experts on here? Is this worth pursuing?

Interesting from the application:
"A subsequent and separate operation took place at some time between 2012 and 2015 which laid out the current application site as a car park. This operation constitutes development for which planning permission is required. No such permission would appear to have ever been granted and as such, the works were unauthorised."

So if the council decides to grant retrospective planning permission for use of the land as a car park, or it was actually approved change of use, then possibly the original permission is superseded?

Or alternatively, if They own the land and allowed it to be used as a car park without the correct permission, then have they breached the terms of the original permission for the site, or at very least shown themselves to be untrustworthy?

They showed themselves to be untrustworthy years ago!!

From reading the submissions and looking at the back story….

1 Planning permission has already been agreed at the time of the Travel Lodge was granted I.e. it was in the same application of the pub, the issue here is a car park that shouldn’t be there I believe.

2 There are no time constraints to when the pub can be built as the Travel Lodge was built within the initial time frame of the permission, and hence the pubs permission is not time bound.

3 I guess the council can only stop this on a technicality.

4 He is probably only doing this as he can sell the land for more.

Anyone got anything else?
