probably the best half of football ive seen us play in a long long time, first half was weird we conceded two bad goals, second half we just stepped up a gear. Jerry's found his mojo again, Carey looks the business, thought mitchell had a good game, Marv made up for his first half error with a clearance off the line, I even took a liking to Keogh when he was in a tussle with the CF.

The movement around the box today was magnificent.
 
We dominated them for 90 minutes but somehow went in 2-0 down. It was always going to be that of we got the 3rd goal in the game early enough we would have a great chance to draw or possibly win that. Once Jerry scored his first there was only one team going to win that.

We got what we deserved tonight which has not always been the case this season. Great character from the whole 14 and great debut from Carey and Dale. What options we have as a squad.

Roll on Saturday. Play like that and we will dick the Nobbers.
 
I think tonights result emphasises the strength of the squad, 5 changes from Saturday!!!
OK we made some mistakes and I didn't actually think either Demi or Keshi shone BUT they still played their part in tonights win.
We were always on top and eventually we took our chances.
And a special mention to the fans who were loud and proud all night, especially when we 2 down.

We played very well first half, and superbly second half. We just keep getting better.

Take a bow Owen Dale and Sonny Carey. Tremendous starts to their Pool careers.

We bossed that game, dominated the middle of the park, looked a very strong side. In difficult wet conditions. Lacked potency prior to Dales introduction. Looking forward to Lavery getting back in the side!

Let's not forgot Grimshaw's save either. 3-0 was game over.

Agree totally, the travelling fans were fantastic for ninety minutes!
 
Fantastic . Am in Barcelona, first night of holiday. Left a restaurant losing 2- 0 , 20 mins later back in hotel winning 3-2 . Have opened bottle of Cava left in room , to celebrate, maybe unwise but what the hell! Have been wanting Carey to play. Weve got some exciting players now. Roll on

Fantastic performance by the whole squad ,cut out the silly mistakes and imagine how good we will be ,carey was outstanding in front of the two midfielders and will only get better with more games ,big shout out to mr critchley and his team for instilling a never say die attitude in the whole squad the players must be loving it ,also a big shout to all the fans they were magnificant and i am sure the players love the support they are getting ,roll on sat ..utmp

Am there on Saturday, told the family leave me alone from 4pm for the nobbers!
 
Tomorrow the back pages will be all about the heroic and magnificent fight back by the team which was 2 0 down at half time.
Naturally it will be Manchester United¡!!!!!
 
I don’t mean to cast any brickbats at anyone but why have we had to wait so long for Sonny Carey. As previous posters have said he completely bossed it tonight, what a terrific debut, could he and Dale be the missing pieces to complete the jigsaw?

I don't think you can criticise people for saying 1st half we lacked quality up front and made two errors for their goals. We were the better side 1st half but it was frustrating and there was certainly room for improvement. 2nd half we were a different team. Passing was faster and crisper. They showed more determination. In fact they blew Reading away. It was as one sided as you could get. And so refreshing to see new lads Carey and Dale doing well.
 
Was off the beer but just opened a cold one, how could you not! The desire and fitness levels amaze me, we killed them, pressed them so high up they totally lost it, the commentator kept saying they were managing the game, er no they weren't they weren't sitting in they just couldn't get out, best i've seen from a Blackpool side since Forest away in the POs, we have all been asking for a link up player in midfield well we have one in young Carey, 100 grand, wow!! Jerrydinio on fire again! Lastly what a coach we have in NC, he makes f all excuses re injuries just like last season, my brother was at the game and texted me saying how early we were out for the second half compared to them, well that just showed our intent. Supposed to have an early one, f that, next beer!! Cheers to all!!
