From my seat in the North I actually thought it had gone wide for a second or 2. It was all in such slow motion with the keeper not moving.

Did he kick it against his standing foot? Did he jab it into the turf? Did he actually score with one of the sneakiest shithouse finishes in history? Even watching the video I can’t quite work it out!!

I thought he scuffed it?
 
It was similar in the west, thought it had gone wide and landed on the back of the net.

Critch said he hit it against his standing foot.
 
Thought he ended up putting spin on it whether intentional or by accident. It certainly curved right.
 
Yeh I was behind it in the south, was following the line of it praying it had enough curl to kiss the post and go in, fortunately it did, we were all celebrating and then the north and west decided to join in a few moments later as they saw us all jumping about 😂 I actually thought the defender was blocking the keepers view of it
 
Just looked at it in slo-mo about 10 times from behind the goal.

He appears to curl it with his left foot but it shaved off his right standing foot toe which didn't deviate the ball but causes a shed load of spin to the right which caused the ball to deviate and swerve inside the post when it started bouncing.
 
I'm behind the South goal too, and when he hit it it initially looked like it was going wide. Next thing I know it's in the net and we're going wild. Can't believe their keeper just stood there!
 
I was side on with it so assumed it was heading wide as that sort of contact is a very difficult skill to get right,then ive presumed hes scuffed it in but to his credit I think hes hit it very clean and pretty much as he intended which has left the keeper suprised.From there the keeper would be expecting the hard shot straight at him or reversed across his body.

Everyone around us in the North didn’t even realised we’d scored at first! really strange goal.
 
Critch said it his standing foot, so I'll defer to him. But to me it looked a sublime pass into the back of the net with a bit of spin
 
Great pass by Keogh, control & pass from Hubby & Keshi passed it into the net, with the keeper wrongfooted. From where we were sat I also thought he'd missed. Which caused a sort of weird delayed action cheer. That said I've watched it about 3 times. Great game & I'll have to do a bit of Knobber baiting on Monday at work, actually one of them has got mail awaiting 😂
 
100% hit his standing foot. Don't know whether he intended a shot or cross with his left but it then hit his right foot and spun into the bottom corner, completely wrong footing the keeper.
 
He sussed that the keeper was not expecting him to shoot near post and literallly passed it into the net a la Jimmy Greaves.Brilliant.⚽️👍
 
I’d turned away cursing the fucker and then I heard the roar from the south.

Watching it back I’m still no wiser.

Son and myself thought he scuffed it and I reckon pne keeper did as rooted the ground
I'm going to say it was hybrid of being placed with nice curve to outdo the keeper
 
Quite simple really. Firstly, Keshi skilfully hit across the line of the ball to curl it into the net (similar trajectory as a crown green bowl and about the same pace). Secondly, he used telepathic thoughts to make the Preston players stand motionless and in awe at his skills
 
I’d need to see a replay but at the time I think everyone thought he’d fluffed it as it rolled VERY slowly towards the goal.

But everyone, but especially the keeper, just decided to stand and watch it….out of interest I suppose. And then thought WTF just happened?

It was crackers. But it made me very happy.
 
I was in the west and I think it was only the South Stand cheering which eventually filtered through that the ball had gone in the net!
 
Quite funny really as there were groans as he hit it but it was like a crown green bowl as it just changed direction at the last moment.
...and hey presto 1 up😉
 
I think the PNE defender unsighted their keeper and he set his weight assuming it's going to his left, then can't react.
Strange goal though. Everyone in the West had started to moan how shit an effort it was and the South just erupted.
 
Just watched the replay over and over and other than the keeper being clueless, It was a great goal! The second goal was pure Gerry magic gifting Gary Goals a gimmy! I'm kind of disappointed that we only put 2 past this pisspoor nob end team though! Total humiliation was there for the taking!
 
I was in line with it from behind. It looked like the ball swerved. I was shocked it went in. Not that I'm complaining. It was just a pity we didnt get a third.
