It's the deliberate misunderstanding of the boycott that makes me think "ha, f*ck 'em". Don't get me wrong, I hate PNE and am loving their current plight. But generally speaking, give me a knobber over a United fan to talk about footy with for any length of time.
That kind of wilful ignorance makes their current situation all the more hilarious.

Yep, I remember him committing a foul and fans chanting 'off, off, off' in an attempt to influence the ref to give him his marching orders. Must admit I laughed at the time(he WAS having a shocker) but looking back it was embarrassing!I certainly remember a cheer when John O'Kane was subbed during one game.
Being reminded of O'Kane It's just dawned on me the north and west stands are 20 years old next Feb(?) where TF have the years gone?

Yeah I've met plenty of Knobbers and although genuinely nice people. Know fuck all about football and are over the top delusional about "where" their club should be.
I've met United fans in the pub that have more of a clue. Awful supporter base.

The pne situation is like a paradise compared to what we had to put up with.
They have a 'completed' stadium, are run professionally, sign players, owners aren't suing fans, pitch isn't like a ploughed field etc.
Didn't they just build a fan zone...
They had an owner who writes off their substantial losses.
All the moaning about signings they signed that McCann, I read it was for over 1m?
They had have some great offers on ticket deals for cheap prices.
They have been a solid championship club for a number of years now.
The game before forest they beat the league leaders at home.
It's so far from the hell we had yet at times you'd think the O's were in charge of them.

All this excitement they had last night about an announcement today about their manager being sacked. And they get this statement from their chairman. It is the kind of thing KOKO could have written. They aren't happy.

An Update From The Chairman
The private funeral service for my father, Trevor Hemmings, took place on the Isle Of Man on Monday 1st November. As you would expect, it was a hugely emotional and moving affair for those members of the family and close friends that attended.

Haha… he literally liked a tweet referring to the PNE supporters as embarrassing and he is spot on to be fair.
Most of their fans are deluded and blinkered to the point of being ignorant to material facts, add that to the lack of atmosphere they produce and overreacting meltdowns = their fans are woeful.
But don’t get me wrong we have our fair share of overreacting muppets too - which is embarrassing at times.
Fully enjoying their meltdown.. someone nailed it on the head, deep down they know we’re on a upwards trajectory whilst they’re slowly sinking like a lead balloon and that’s the underlying issue.

Their CEO has just buried his dad on Monday and some absolute di##head is asking why Craig Hemmings wont spend money on PNE...
WHY would someone throw money down the toilet on a football team who boo their own players and cant be arsed to turn up to home games.
Their are some of the most crass and stupid comments from PNE fans about a man who prevented PNE from entering bankruptcy every season.
If I were Craig Hemmings and read some of those comments.....I would start watching Rugby and let that club die a natural death, like it should have done 15 years ago......

The hilarious thing about that is those various acts of protest actually had a function, they helped oust and highlight the worst owners in football.
Cheering one of your own players going off has no purpose except highlighting how embarrassing your fan base is.

We were protesting about our owners and what they were doing in running our club. Don't you get that? It had nothing to do with how we were playing or what league we were in. By comparison you have brilliant owners who have continued to pour their own money into your club and have stability. Your fans need to be careful for what they wish for.

That was deliberate action to draw attention to the owner and our situation which was largely ignored by the EFL. Still glad that happened. You probably think it was driven by poor results on the pitch, which of course is total bobbins.
An owner & chairman found to be at fault in an English court, no less.

Blackpool fans protested against owners who have been proven to have illegitimately stripped assets from the club whilst showing complete contempt for the fans.
The fact that your fans deny this and say we boycotted because we got relegated shows how deluded you lot are.

We did these things to try to get rid of an owner who was proved to be systematically stripping the club of its assets and trying to bully anyone who objected through the use of the courts. What we did was principled and sustained over a long period and hailed by football fans up and down the country.
You moan about a family that subsidises your club to the tune of millions of pounds every year because they don't put in even more. You've had Championship football for a good while, punched above your weight for some of it and still you aren't satisfied.
I knew that many of your fans were wilfully blind where we are concerned. I'm disappointed that you appear to be one of them.

EVERY football fan knows we (Blackpool) boycotted the Oystons because the money made from reaching the Prem was being syphoned off through Oyston accounts to the tune of (allegedly) £110MILLION....not because (like PNE) he wouldn't spend it
Now, why don't you go back and moderate some of those crass fans having a go at a man who only buried his father yesterday because he wont throw millions at your shit club.....

Ahh yes because when we started the boycott etc had it not been for that and any booing, Owen was just about to release the prem millions and spend like never before.
However having seen what happened his plans clearly changed. He was just on the verge of investment....
It was our fault they didn’t build any legacy....

Look at your club now, in the championship for years, spent decent money on that McCann for eg, none of the issues we had, nowhere near, yet already moaning like spoilt brats.
To try and compare that to the boycott shows either complete delusuon or or a bitter attempt at an awful comparison.

The courts also agreed with the damages against the Oystons. So you can fuck right off trying to make any comparison with our fans and yours.
You've an entitled bunch, a bit like Newcastle fans, that somehow think you've had it tough and that you should be far better than you are doing. They got a rich sheik, I don't see one coming over the horizon for your lot. Get used to mediocrity.
