Alan Browne calls Preston fans an ‘absolute joke’ on Twitter

Just because one car was vandalised doesn't mean that there was a big protest does it, 2 or 3 youths could have done that.

So are you saying that some of those extra 'pool fans who turned up when you reached the Prem didn't stop going after you were relegated from the Prem?

I know that your attendance shot up greatly the game after the Oystens were thrown out but that soon started to drop again didn't it. Even though your attendances where higher than before they still dropped down quite a lot after that first game you had your club back.

Did your attendances drop once OO was found guilty and sent to prison or did they remain more or less the same?
Well that is where you are wrong, in the 6 games after the Oystons lost control we averaged just over 10,000. In answer to your last question they remained roughly the same, maybe slightly higher in the first few years as we were in or going for the play offs. Although they were still poor at around 6000. Also check out our average for the three years after being relegated from the prem, the drop off was around 1000 less. Away allocation was always 2500 so could have been higher if we adopted North Ends approach. The boycotting was a result of 38.8m being taken as well as the suing of fans, you may or may not know this but it wasn't just a couple of fans being sued it was dozens that were threatened with legal action. And at that point we had had enough and the supporters groups called for a NAPM approach. I don't understand why every true football fan up and down the land understood why we HAD to do what we did but you lot can't understand it. It says more about your fanbase than ours. Anyway same division now and we average more than you so who's the 'plastics' now?

Plus to see how effective the boycott was don't look at official figures see my posts on this thread and 2 examples, one of which is a big game.

If this was how it was on average there'd be lucky to be more than 1k home fans, which is pretty impressive how many stayed away.

Funnily enough, I was interviewing someone on Thursday and they mentioned they were a Sunderland fan. When he found out I was a Blackpool fan, he was praising the stance of our fanbase as one that set an example to the rest of football.

The rest of football knew what we'd been through but not the club 12 miles away.

Good post Koudo. I am pretty sure the bellend will not be able to accept the facts. It seems to be only the Nobbers* who can't seem to understand the reasons and extent of the boycott - supporters of other clubs mainly get it.

* I was going to say Knobbers support' but they have no concept of what support is

BTW what do you meab by "so could have been higher if we adopted North Ends approach", what do you mean by "North Ends approach"?

C'mon Wiz, all that info was in the job description.

Weren't both attendances higher than your normal averages?
Moderately, but certainly not 80% above our normal attendance. The Derby game alone has added 1000 to your average…. You’ve also had 3000+ away supporters from WBA…

Of course when we come to you, you’ll also benefit from 6,000 + away fans.
