He moped around before leaving which pissed the fans off massively I think. He may need to find somewhere else to go or go grovelling on twitter.Wonder why he's not available for selection? Locked himself in his room or something?
Covid?Wonder why he's not available for selection? Locked himself in his room or something?
Money is obviously tight and we are in desperate need of midfield players so I guess all resources are being diverted there, as well as to Beesley. The Beesley transfer seems a bit of a gamble, he's just had a short run of decent form in L2 age 25, but he's cheaper than Dale's agreed fee and worth a go I guess, in a position we need cover/rotation for Madine.I would guess due to his lack of involvement the Critch has deemed him not very good value for money at £500k!
Could well be.Covid?
I suspect there could be a direct link with Brannigan. We only signed Dale at the last minute when the Brannigan deal fell through in the summer so maybe Dale going back means the Brannigan deal is now happening. The other angle is that the Brannagan option is more attainable than perhaps we realise coupled with the saved expenditure from Dale and the inclusion of Thorniley in a deal .
All of a sudden that buy out clause be it £1m 1.2 1.5 etc comes within reach.
Given our midfield shortage Dale would have been a gimme so something else is playing out.
Agree he didn’t get the rub of the green hope he gets a decent move somewhere.Feel a bit sorry for him. Arrived injured. Didn’t get too many chances. Got another injury and possibly Covid.
That's a bit harsh bearing in mind we have stepped another level and I would say at this point over-achieved. Connolly, James and Sterling have all played a part in that success. Casey is one for the future and John-Jules is the only fail (as Woodburn and Kemp were last season). Covid has made the loan market more difficult as even the big Premier League clubs are thinking twice before loaning out young talent. Was one of our 'meh' signings this season alongside Connolly, Casey, James, Sterling and John-Jules.
Few more misses than hits for me in our summer dealings.
