I’d class him as the best bit of business this January window 👍
He walked straight back into the team at Fulham the best team by far in the league and was absolutely immense, especially when defending crosses into our box.

He’s brave excellent in the air and good on the deck too 👍

IMO almost like a new signing, and for nowt 👍

Fcuk Oxford , he’s our and can definitely cut the mustard in the championship 👍

Just watched the full game back and thoroughly enjoyed it, I thought the commentator was the best we have had, unlike Chrissy he got all our player's name's correct and knew all the info on Blackpool. He seemed pleased that we got and deserved at least a point.
Now to the game, as you all say Jordan Thorniley was simply awesome especially in his duel's with Mitrovic, who he had in his pocket after the mix up for the goal.
Gabriel and Sterling, what can I say, absolutely class, Fulham must wish they had a pair of full backs as good!
Bowler and CJ ! Can you imagine being an opposing full back?
CJ HAS got his unnatural speed back, chritch can work miracles with these two.
And the rest of the team get 9 out of 10.
The Pool are going UP.

We should never of loaned him out a great player and he won't sulk, h'll give his all, deserves a contract extension. I also think Robbo had a raw deal, Sunderland supporters loved him. He got a bad injury but when he came back and got match fit played really well in the few games he played in, I would really like to see what he has to offer now as MKD really rated him.

With the Oxford fans at Wigan tonight.....
Scouse James Corden can cry in the press about JT all he wants. He’s certainly had enough practice at it. He could have had him and a healthy budget for new signings but chose to keep Brannagan instead.

Zero doubts about Thorniley’s professionalism. Just have to re-watch Saturday to reach that conclusion. He’s done everything asked of him without complaint despite being put in tough spots multiple times over the last 12-18 months, and never let us down. He’ll be an asset until the end of the season when I’m sure the whole dance will begin again.

We haven't seen Robson, Kirk or Beesley yet but JT made a great start on Saturday for sure.

Interesting he was in the Oxford end tonight. Obviously had a bond and maybe he'd like to go back. His career path probably benefits from Championship football though, if he gets the games. I think Phil is right, he won't start much when we play four at the back, which is most games.

I was reading on some Oxford forum linked on here that their club is pure class and Robinson handles his business so professionally. I think the exact opposite - he loves the sound of his own voice and constantly talks about other club’s players.

Not fit to lace Critchley’s boots and excited to watch them bottle the play-offs again. Watched the second half of this game tonight - they didn’t make it over half way, Wigan should have won comfortably.

What really makes me laugh about Oxford fans is their gloating about Brannagan, with some on twitter even wanting to know "if the tears have stopped in Blackpool" because we didn't get him. We're a league above them FFS, there's no tears here.

As for Thorniley, he's a very good player and model professional in the way he's conducted himself, and has never let us down. I really hope he gets a good move when he leaves, as he deserves one.

Tweeting about JT tonight like that is hardly professional. He's our player. Imagine Critch doing anything like that. Never happen. Worlds apart.

Well then, your club should have valued him more highly then and got the deal done with Brannagan if he is your player of the year. KR is just a twatty gobshite shit stirrer, face it Karl, your club fucked it up, we got our player back who is actually worth more than Brannagan, who quite frankly is a bit shit and I hope we never see him in a tangerine shirt. Good luck in League 1 again next season you knob jockey!

If ever a club and manager deserved each other, it's Karl Robinson and Oxford United. Critchley has more class in his little finger than Robinson has. There hasn't been any bitterness from us, we recalled Thorniley because we decided to sell Gretarsson, probably in order for us to up our offer for Brannagan.

He's suddenly become their player of the season despite Oxford not wanting to sign him permanently, or if they did for practically free.
They did what was best for them in the transfer window, but when we do it there's bitterness? What an utter shit stirrer he is.

Jordan Thorniley among the 571 in
the away end tonight.
KR: "He means a lot to us. The
bitterness of the transfer window is
clearly evident. It's frustrating,
because he's probably my player of
the year up to this point."
————————————

Makes a bit of a nonsense of them demanding top dollar for Brannagan and minimal value attributed to Thorniley. Then all of a sudden he’s their player of the year. Just games from KR. And he’s not very good at it.

So.
Our player Thornily (championship) is their best player but they don't think he's worth much?
Their player, Brannigan (L1) isnt their best player but if what we read is right, is worth 1 M.......

Well done to whoever at our club told them to go away.
We aren't tinpot anymore...those days are gone.
Clubs like little Oxford need to know their place.

Didn’t the Oxford fan that came on here say he was just ok And not really a key player for them ? Lying or playing games.

As someone said - Keogh.

I think he'll likely get more exposed (if that's the right word) by having a right footed left back playing alongside.
Keogh is in a different stratosphere to thorniley in my opinion… I think thorniley has a decent attitude and gives his best but for me he is nowhere near championship standard on a regular basis… I would have been happy for him to go … I’m pretty sure he realises he has no long term future here
