Peterborough v Blackpool Official Matchday Thread 07.05.22

Let’s finish with a bang. I want to see Jerry & Beesley up top, I want to see Carey and Dale start. I want to see big Marv and Josh back with Grimmy in nets.
I want to see us stuff them 4- nil and finish above the nobbers!
It’s not a big ask is it…. 👍

Agree with everything you say, but I'll see your 4-nil, and raise to 6-nil.
Our biggest win of the season. 🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊😆

Spot on - let's see some of the other lads given a chance. Play Grimmy or Moore too. Beesley and Yates a great shout.

I actually really hope we beat this lot. For some reason I started reading their forum regularly and the "how are Blackpool staying up when we're not?" puzzlement drives me crazy, could it be the drastically better manager?, better fans?, documented 70+ year history of being able to survive in the top 2 divisions? but they can't work this out so just ask "how have they done that?" over and over. 10-0 to the blessed ones.

Just read the thread, quite interesting getting their thoughts. At least there's one guy who gets why we've done better than they have this season:

"We weren’t better than Blackpool from October onwards last year.

They started very poorly but were the best team in the league thereafter."

We got better players, people like Lavery, Bowler.

We have a better system for adapting, great pressing, fast wingers.

We have a great manager.

We have great fans who back the team and give them that energy.

Hopefully they'll witness that today even if its nowhere near our best side given who will be missing.

@matt_scrafton

Amazing how many we have missing and how many we've missed this season and still done so well.

Suppose this game gives Neil Critchley the opportunity to access the progress some of his fringe
players and youngsters are making as he will soon have to make decisions about the retained list.

do these posh bastards not realise they are already doomed. We will come into the game though

Not many known attacking options on the bench, mostly kids. Guess NC isn’t bothered whether we finish above PNE. That’s not our strongest team & subs. Here’s hoping though.
