Is Marv going to make bigger headlines

I was like ???? And then found the context. I will post it to give context for others but my two pennies worth is that he may not hold the same views now. Even I’ve changed since I was 17. I’ve no doubt that this will probably become more public knowledge shortly given the cancel culture we live in

As I said on the other thread someone has either sold Marv out or someone from the Star or Current Bun has trawled the whole squad's social media digging for historical dirt. Either way it stinks. Marv and the club need to act quickly to sort this one.
 
Marv doesn’t cover himself in any glory with those comments.
I’am not surprised someone’s digging up the dirty washing.
 
People learn and change their views based on life experience. Making mistakes is allowed, and is why it's not a good look (and a bit pointless) when people on here drag up posts from months or even years ago to prove a point. And let's be honest, people do all sorts of stupid shit when they're 17, you think you know everything but actually know very little.

As I said on the other thread, he was most likely trying to fit in a toxic masculine environment - and actually shows how brave what Jake has done actually is.

There is no chance Marv will actually think our say anything remotely close to that now; I doubt he thought it at the time.

Marv can easily deal with this and he will.

Whatever country the World Cup is held in there are always going to be cultural differences to our way of life. every countries laws should be respected If you are a visitor.

Ffs it should be I’m sorry I’ve grown up since them these few don’t represent what I believe it now I can’t be held responsible as for my childhood views they are totally in the past but it won’t be he will be gone

I suspect his family were brought up with Nigerian values, just as our country reacted to the influx of blacks in the 60's. Things have changed over the years thank goodness. Storm in a teacup.

I think this is a problem. Will overshadow all the positive reaction to Jake Daniel's announcement today. Marv needs to make a public apology and soon otherwise this will rumble on

The tweets were from nearly 10 years ago and they’ve now been deleted, we all say/believe stupid stuff when we’re younger and I’m sure he’s grown since then and he’ll be there for young Jake
