Presumably you were in the Ship at those prices. A pint of Peroni was well over £5 in there a few years ago according to my lad. He likes Coors and Heineken, but Heineken wasn't much cheaper.Went for a pint of Morreti at an unnamed pub in Lytham and got charged 5.50. That's me done.
You're dreaming. It was 19p in the vaults at the Dunes in 1975.22p for a pint of Boddingtons in the Dog and Partridge in 1974. Or am I dreaming ....?
I don’t drink carsberg very often but it is £2.05 in my local.Went to a gig in Manchester a few weeks back, obviously loads of trendy bars we spent the afternoon in 2 what you may call typical working mens pubs, tatty, rough but friendly enough, £11.25 for a carlsberg & a pint of Guinness, I mainly drink at home and go out for a meal with family so don’t notice the prices as it’s just in with the meal bill, I suppose it shows you’re getting old when you expect a couple of beers to be around £7
Thats a great priceI don’t drink carsberg very often but it is £2.05 in my local.
Well don’t go drinking it in Manchester, unless of course my mates Guinness was £9.20I don’t drink carsberg very often but it is £2.05 in my local.

It's hugely different. Carling is utter shite. It seems the fad nowadays pal same for Perroni cheapest drink when I was in Italy or you find Amstel often about it's just another Lager which pubs can overcharge you for when it's no different than Carling.

Why unnamed?Went for a pint of Morreti at an unnamed pub in Lytham and got charged 5.50. That's me done.
£4 more like lol!
Where do you live I’ll meet up for 12 pints & still have enough money to buy a battered haggis on the way home, I’ll try & get a deal on them throwing some scraps in for free , ffs scrap’s if anyone reading this is under 40 they’ll think I’m on drugs, I am but that irrelevant , nah not really£4 more like lol!
To be fair the price of a lager has shot up in the 5 or 6 years decade. Throughout the early 2000's until maybe up until 5 or 6 years ago a lot of boozers (round Blackpool) were knocking lagers out between £2 - £2.50.Where do you live I’ll meet up for 12 pints & still have enough money to buy a battered haggis on the way home, I’ll try & get a deal on them throwing some scraps in for free , ffs scrap’s if anyone reading this is under 40 they’ll think I’m on drugs, I am but that irrelevant , nah not really
Looking at the prices of larger in the supermarket ,you’d be ok with paying double in a pub, anything after that is a massive ripoffTo be fair the price of a lager has shot up in the 5 or 6 years decade. I remember when there was National outrage when Watneys Red Barrel hit 2 shillings a pint, at that time, around 1970, bitter was around 1s 4p and mild was 1s 2p.22p for a pint of Boddingtons in the Dog and Partridge in 1974. Or am I dreaming ....?
Careful, you'll be accused of being a real ale bore for speaking the truth about Carling, the amber nectar of lagers apparentlyTo be fair Carling is piss

I see m&s are doing a box of scraps for a quidWhere do you live I’ll meet up for 12 pints & still have enough money to buy a battered haggis on the way home, I’ll try & get a deal on them throwing some scraps in for free , ffs scrap’s if anyone reading this is under 40 they’ll think I’m on drugs, I am but that irrelevant , nah not really
He means the Clifton Arms on Preston New Rd near St Monica's.The Clifton Arms is the hotel in Lytham......Do you mean the Queens?.....or is this a pub in Blackpool?
In 2016 a pint in The Clifton was about £5.00...........
I was at an evening 'do' at the Clifton before it got renovated and they had the audacity to charge me £2,50 for a glass of lemonade.....
I was in The Shovels last week. 4 quid for a pint of Landlord. Wetherspoon in St. Annes, 2:10 for quite a few cask ales.Presumably you were in the Ship at those prices. A pint of Peroni was well over £5 in there a few years ago according to my lad. He likes Coors and Heineken, but Heineken wasn't much cheaper.
Don't get out much these days, but I've recently visited the Saddle and the Boars Head. Timothy Taylor Landlord bitter (and Hobgoblin Gold on draft) in the Saddle, then Dortmunder in the BH, an excellent pilsner light beer, all well less than £4 per pint. As someone has said, you get much better prices in most Blackpool pubs than rip off Lytham
A pint of Wilsons mild was about 1s 1d when I had my first pint.Went to a gig in Manchester a few weeks back, obviously loads of trendy bars we spent the afternoon in 2 what you may call typical working mens pubs, tatty, rough but friendly enough, £11.25 for a carlsberg & a pint of Guinness, I mainly drink at home and go out for a meal with family so don’t notice the prices as it’s just in with the meal bill, I suppose it shows you’re getting old when you expect a couple of beers to be around £7
Excuse me, I worked there, load of rubbish.A pint of Wilsons mild was about 1s 1d when I had my first pint.
It was only later that I found out from a friend of mine that had a holiday job working there where the workers used to urinate if they couldn't get to the toilet in time.
