That’s how things work sometimes, not what you know it’s who.

Yes in a small business like football you inevitably end up dealing with people you’ve dealt with before. Guess what? There’s someone in a decision-making position at the club who has worked with Liam Rosenior before! But strangely that never comes up…

Duff is not going to accept the Barnsley post if there is any chance he might get the Blackpool job - he would be mad to accept a lg1 job when you are a contender for a Championship job. Ice we appoint the Barnsley job will fall into place.

BFC has certainly had the plumbers in since Ben and Simon took over to fix all the leaks and information only gets shared when and how the Board chooses. We can't really complain about that though at the next Structured (One Way) Dialogue meeting, can we?
Slightly off topic we still haven't had an announcement about the final?? U/18 to get a contract.

Yeah I think this is most likely.

Not sure who scrafton spoke to but they aren't going to say its done when it isn't.

Probably just agreeing terms etc.

He says that they've spoken to those 3, but only says that LR is one of those that was in the second round, Appleton might've been another, but since Duff was appointed at Barnsley on Monday, it seems doubtful he was there.

The BBC have an article up saying he's left Cheltenham to join Barnsley https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/61783557.

That said you're right, it's official that he's left Cheltenham, but where he's going is speculation on the BBC's part, so he could have been one of those interviewed twice.
 
It’s a bit strange, betting suspended when Rosenior got to 1/20, journos convinced he’d got the job, Mellon second favourite, but not mentioned in Scrafftons article as being interviewed again. It does feel like Rosenior was the man and it’s gone wrong for some reason, but I’m sure we’ll have a manager in place ready for training.

It's a feedback loop, the Derby takeover collapses, LR is known to have talked to us, people connect the two and conclude that it means he's going to us, a few of them put bets on him, the odds shorten, the likes of Nixon and others pick up on this and start reporting it as a done deal at which point the odds go to 1/10 and betting is suspended.

The reality is that Critchley left on Thursday 3 June, Friday was a bank holiday, so the recruitment process would've started on Monday last week, they've decided on two rounds of interviews the second of which was this week, they'll probably make the decision today and announce it once the paperwork is finalized, maybe Friday, maybe early next week.

If it still hasn't been resolved by this time next week then maybe something has gone wrong, but for now I think we're being led astray by speculation.

He doesn't fit with any of the characteristics Mansford listed. Disloyal, turgid football and a complete arse of a man. Of all the names mentioned, Appleton and Holden are the 2 I wouldn't have even had on the initial short list.

Problem is if they ARE going to get out of the mess they are in you don't know what terms he's on already. Rooney could be the key to him waiting it out or leaving.
 
Derby’s administrators may be insisting Rosenoir’s contract is paid up in full no haggling etc.
 
I haven't got mine or my daughters season tickets yet, waiting till pay day, but if we get Appleton then I'm not getting them. I will just pick and chose which games I go to.

Apparently, Rosenior started learning his management trade when playing for Steve Bruce, maybe the ice cream shop rumour was a false alarm and we should have been scouting the kebab shops looking for someone in a tracksuit ordering a large donor with cheesy chips.

yes I hope what I’ve put is a load of 💩
but it’s bloody hard staying up in this league and we need to start planning now , otherwise pool will be behind , look how we finished last season
