Generally impressed with the professional approach the club takes now, only really commenting when there’s something worth commenting about, ensuring any news is released by the club and seemingly shutting down any leaks.
I do wonder though if they’re still lacking somewhat on the marketing and PR front. There’s been some decent content from week 1 of training but aside from the initial interview with Appleton nothing much since.
We know there a new training ground and east stand planned. Works literally just begun on clearing land for the pitches etc behind the North. We’ve got multiple new staff in, all the players back at the club for the first time in a long time (including the youngsters who headed out on loan) there’s been big developments at Squires Gate and the clubs generally moving in a positive direction…
Yet. Very few interviews (yes I know the new staff are busy but 1 hour of media time could create a lot of positive content) plus all the players… maybe an interview with some of the new kids as they look forward to the season ahead. The internationals on their performances / experiences ?
Some more detail on the facilities soon to be put in place behind the North ?
A new apps been released with no fanfare whatsoever. Limited marketing of the new junior memberships. The only info about Squires Gate came from the groundsman and Jerry wandering around the car park.
It should be a really exciting time with so much positive stuff happening. I feel the club aren’t making the most of it though. More exposure, more fanfare, more detail generally could really whet the fans appetite for the season ahead, get merchandise and tickets selling and build interests in memberships, the app etc.
